Not meeting system requirements question
I don't know the best place to put this as it isn't really a bug, so I thought I'd put it in General.
Basically, my computer has been able to run The Isle for a long time, at the highest graphics settings and gameplay settings in general. I haven't experienced any severe lag (maybe rubberbanding on some servers) but for the most part it's run very smoothly. Of course it's still a heavy game, and my computer WILL heat up and run its fans as its supposed to do. However, recently with the system requirements update I was surprised to find that my PC apparently doesn't meet the minimum. I checked the minimum requirements and I found that this is most likely due to the fact that my processor isn't a Quad-core Intel, though it an Intel Core @ 2.00GHz. Otherwise I have 6 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA graphics card, and I've never experienced extremely choppy gameplay.

So, my question is should I still risk playing The Isle even though I apparently don't meet minimum requirements? It seems my PC mostly meets requirements except for the processor, and even then beforehand I have been able to run The Isle just fine.

Yeah I’m also under minimum requirement and every time I go into grass I lag like hell. The only time I don’t lag is when I’m on the beach. So basically I can barely play. If o turn down and off everything in the settings will it help?

how i got around it with my old laptop [which didn't come anywhere near minium requirements!] was to put all my settings to low and keep an eye on how many players were near me [basically avoiding heavy traffic or moving out of the area when the numbers got too high] and my computer was fine with it.... thou to be honest my new beast of a machine [bought a dedicated gaming laptop a year later] is now flashing [for a sec before disappearing] the "you don't meet minimum system req-etc." on the menu screen when it didn't do it before...
so that might be due to the devs now actually optimizing the game and sneakily patching that in?

but you should try playing again with all settings low, fps 60, render 100 and turn off vsync - you may have to fiddle and faff with the settings to get it at a comfortable level for your machine but generally all graphic settings should be kept low

EDIT
oh and there's also the game window setting, try to have that atleast 3/4 the size of your monitor not full screen - i found that this also helped me with the above advice ^.^

You should probably have checked the system specifications on your PC before buying the game. It would at least clarify to you where your PC is underspec. Depending on whether it's a desktop or laptop that might be fixable with an upgrade. But if not I'm afraid you're just out of luck. Game requirements are on the Store page. If an upgrade is impossible, you could theoretically still refund the game.
