EVRIMA Patch Status Update
Hey Islanders, I'd like to take the time to let you all know a little of what our programmers have been up to in preparation for a new EVRIMA build. Our intention is to eliminate as many issues as possible so that we can provide the awesome gameplay experience we've all been striving for.

To give you further insight to the upcoming build, QA will be testing the following tomorrow. Depending on how testing goes, we will be able to provide you with an estimated timeframe for the next update promptly.

NEXT PATCH:

- Movement stuttering and teleporting improvements. Several patches may still be required to finetune this.
- CPU process improvements, which should give a performance boost, especially to those with low end CPUs.
- Over 30 gameplay bug fixes, which will be covered in more depth with the official changelog for the update.
- Mud is now applied to the character from wallowing, fading overtime or when swimming.
- New Steam communication system, to allow more options, faster and more reliable processes, fixing some bugs like needing to restart steam and the game to find servers after being kicked or failing to join.
- Map fixes related to textures, "hole traps/crevices" and designs like POIs.
- Server performance improvements and stability.
- New footstep effects and design also testing performance and new future design concepts.
- Ongoing rendering improvements.

QA TESTING:

- Enhanced logout feature added. Players must rest for 60s before they can safe log, to prevent combat logging.
- AI Dryosaurus setup with animation implementation and improvements. - Same as AI, QA test first and issue analysis before public release.
- Added AI for Utahraptor.
- Added AI for Tenontosaurus.
- Setup Roaming behaviour for AI.
- Setup Herding behaviour for AI Herds.
- AI will call for help from it's Herd if it is being attacked.
- AI uses a perception system in which it can hear & see other characters around it.
- Added basic AI responses to broadcasts and calls.
- Setup AI spawners.
- AI herds are currently set to a max of 3.
- Tenontosaurus AI has the ability to source and eat food.

Updates from 2019 with crappy code structure came out pretty damn frequently.
Has waiting a year for an update that was known to be bare bones tainted your expectations?
Track record be damned, it makes literally no sense for updates to take long now.

the issue is its development team.
If it were the Development Team, the game would have died repeatedly over the past 4 years. :deadhuman:

Hey folks .... try reading the actual info in the developers words .... stop ASSUMING things that were not said (the AI info will be released LATER in an additional PATCH....!!)

The patch that will come next week (or so they hope) does NOT include AI....

AND (if possible) dont bother to post if you you really believe the negative things you wirte about the GAME - DEVELOPERS - PATCHES .... it is not constructive criticism ,, it IS just CRAP POSTING for trolling and attention getting purposes ....In MY OPINION.

The experience with Evirma is much like when you see the delivery guy with your food, 500m away from your home, then they turn a hard right and proceed 2km in the opposite direction to make another pickup instead of delivering to you, then they end up being 1 hour late due to zig-zagging fifty times next to your house, instead of actually delivering on a distance-basis rather than a chronological basis.

Makes you both annoyed, and sad on behalf of the guy's own inefficency.

Its kinda confusing because they are listing the things QA is testing under the same post with the next patch info. I wasnt sure if it meant these were things they are testing that might be in the next patch or what when i first read it.

so this coming week is now in the next week QnA need to pull the finger out and get working this is getting stupid. now start updating use them hands and or camras get on and update us via youtube or forums

Indeed , most of the QnA team are more like oh look i'm playing before everybody else.. the last patch had more bugs that the previous one.

imo they should add the QnA to the steam branch so anybody can test it with clear instructions how to bug report instead of this secret squirrel A team cr@p.

i would help and i'm sure many others would, but i don't want to suck dev booty on Discord just to do it..

They have signed NDAs, work directly with the Development Team, and are required to test everything in every way they can think of to see if, how, and when everything breaks. They then have to format the report, see if they can reproduce it, and show it to the Development Team. This isn't a group of people who sucked up to the Devs to play things early, it's a group of people selected based on availability and their rig BY the Development Team to help find most game-breaking bugs before they send it to the public branch where they can find more minor bugs. I don't know if anyone else could join them if they wanted to. :deadhuman:

Its a proper volunteer job, not a secret branch where the "secret squirrel A Team" messes around. :steamfacepalm:
