In a world where swimming mechanics were more advanced, it would be fine. But aside from Sucho, Giga is very balanced in comparison to most survival creatures.

Yes his very slow , but you have one incredible advantage with the sub giga. His turn radius , if something attack you. You need to out turn them , you can easly face tank most stuff thats not an apex and then turn.

I'm with most of you. I love the giga. Its a beauty, majestic in all aspects. The animations just a 11 out if 10. But also it is a pain in the ass. Growing sucks. I realized that the most when I grown a rex (don't play that at all) but rexes juv- and substage is so entertaining while giga .. well.. like find a quite place and read a book. Beside that: yeah giga is more like tier 4.5 then 5. But I love the survivability and the fact I can ambush stuff with a great crouch speed just to 1 bite and follow things till they collapses. (Atleast tier 4 and below) Sometimes it feels more then an ambusher then rex does. Rex adultstage is in comparison just boring as hell.

Rex can outplay any other apex 1v1 if you manage to apply bonebreak the first 1-2 hits. Then it is just a matter of ambush sprinting through the one you are attacking as you got a lot more damage per bite than the other two.

If you somehow got bad luck or screw it up and end up being bitten from behind, goodluck to you.

Has a very good Short/Med Ambush speed.
Cons: Stam doesn't regenerate unless if you sit down.
-The only problem that I have with playing Rex and that would be the Rex downfall. So use it wisely!
Never underestimate in how dangerous it is being near a Dilo pac which at nights is worst than being gang banged from Allos during the day time.
Never play Solo!
Dilo/Certo/Sub Giga can easily ride your a**!

Trout speed and being able to regenerate your stam is always a good thing!
You can easily escape from a Rex after making hits and bleed out the rex in 6-8 bites.
Bleed Damage is crazy!
Sucks growing Juvy-Adult. You can kill an adult Rex in your Sub Stage now. Has a good turn when sprinting and if you time it correctly you can dodge a rex bite then swinging yourself around by riding its tail. The only problem is your stam and its not great at all. So use it wisely.
Giga really doesn't have any cons besides getting to adult and I enjoy it more than Rex. You can easily play solo and don't need to be in a pair.
Really good at overcoming a Dilo pac and allo pac. Only threat you have is a Giga pair. Rex pair won't keep up unless if they ambush you first.

-Spino
I prefer Spino over Rex because of the high health pool by being a tank and its really good turning radius. Even with a broken leg you can still ride the tail of a rex. Only problem with Spino is the very long health regeneration. In 4th screen it would take all night to heal. lol. So be prepared to wait for a long time in recovering!
Has a pretty good ambush as well.
Along with a weak bite but bleed damage+ weight not so bad.
I do recommend playing in a pair because of the super slow health regeneration.
If you're good you can Solo a Pair Rex. Ive seen it happen!

My final outcome of the best choice would be a Giga!
