Rex or giga ?
Me and my friend died and were looking at the apexes to play , but wich one is better the giga or rex ? , i know giga is faster but rex once you have a bonebreak it's over for your prey , then again the rex can be assbit from about everything due to his large turnradius

Giga is not faster. It has a faster trot, higher HP & weight, substantially more stamina, and more stamina regen, but Trex is faster and more powerful and has BB. However, you need to be skilled with a Trex to use that speed; you have 36 seconds of stamina, and it only recovers resting and your trot is ass.

So, if you want the better fighter and ambusher, pick Trex.
If you want the one that travels better / hunts trike better / is less punishing

I won't lie to you, rex is vastly superior atm and no one can deny that fact. However, giga can still kill rex if done right via an ambush for not to mention it's far easier to move around as giga since it can regen stamina while trotting compared to rex who has to sit down. So it comes down to two things in my opinion:

1>Rex: If you want to basically always win battles but have to deal with terrible maneuverbility not to mention it is essential that you ambush prey in order to catch them aside from trike since they're the slowest dino in general but also powerful, sort of.

2>Giga: Unlike rex, you're not really a fighter and won't be challenging a rex head on BUT you can ambush them, apply your bleed, and keep up the pressure but if possible just avoid rexes at all costs the same can be said for trikes too. Now here's where i think giga surpasses rex by a mile: you have way more access to more prey and you can traverse the map far more effectively. Every other dino who isn't a rex and trike is on the menu, every. one. So while rex more often then not HAS to ambush to snag a meal giga can afford to be a little uncautious of their approach and chase prey even without an ambush.

This is my personal explanation of both and i'd strongly suggest going giga imo even if many say it's not as strong as rex and really rex is only faster with an ambush which doesn't last too long.

I believe it affects how much damage is done, your dinos hp, and how much lesser damage one dino does to another who has more weight.

ah thx
the giga ♥♥♥♥♥ on everything, a trike can fight a rex but cannot fight a giga

Ehrm, other way dude. Giga vs Trike is a pretty close fight but rex just demolishes trike.

Giga is overall better at survival due to better mobility, as long as you don't get into fights against rexes you shouldn't have much trouble surviving as one.

But if you just wanna go and fight stuff head on rex is the way to go.

But only if we talk about adult dinos. Juvi and sub rex are better then gigas. They are mobile and fast.

Thats correct, rex has an easier time growing than a giga, but at adult stage the roles reverse.

Weight is used in the damage formula, which both mitigates the damage & bleed you take while also dealing more damage and bleed against a foe with a lower weight. So Giga does slightly more damage to a Trex than it does to another Giga, and Trex does slightly less damage to a Giga than it does to another Trex.

Nah, the bleed resistance buff was not nearly enough. If a Trex does not get lucky with bonebreak, it can go both ways. On the flipside a Giga just needs to land 3 hits and the Trike is doomed.

I won't argue with the rest of what you said but I really don't get this bit. A rex can facetank a trike with little difficulty. Doesn't really matter where it gets bone break or not.

That's not entirely correct, a Trike gores faster than a Trex bites and the difference in hits is very low, like 2-3. So if the Trike can run through, not get broken, it will ride the Trex and can definetly kill it

Ride? Alt turn is a thing.
This game needs a mandatory alt turn wile devs dont come up with side bites or something.
