Examples of what I would like added are some simple sliders to atleast slightly change the hue, vibrancy and opaqueness on the colors we currently have along with more color-options for all dinos, and most of all: instead of having variance options, I’d like to have pattern and size options instead.
Thinking of the possibilities of something resembling tigerstripes on a carno for instance. Or leopard spots..or an even distribution of color like many reptiles have, a duo of colors instead of camo etc.
But more vibrant colors than we have now? Sure, if you want to be easily seen thats fine by me, but you won’t have any support from me if you want to add neon colors and those extremes, no hot-pink neon rexes or glow-in-the-dark raptors for me please XD
Agreed 100% just as long as the colors don’t get too vibrant for body-colors and such. More options would be good :)
While I agree, we don't actually know what color they were. And as someone else said there are plenty of colorful animals, so what's realistic isn't really an issue. Personally I just wish I could make my dinos greener for camo.
And bring back the black colors, I don't see what was wrong with them (sure they stand out but don't the other colors?)
I like the color options, even if they're human standards, as long as bright colors such as bright pink and etc. don't exist, maybe not outside crests and such for sexual dimorphous features.
Because none of the dinos in The Isle will be eating the brine-shrimp or the blue-green algea that is the sole reason flamingo are pink at all, they are born grey and would continue to be grey if not for the dye found in their specific diet.
But then again there are plenty of birds with sharp and vivid colors like parrots and toucans, but imho those colors would look absurdly stupid and comical on a dinosaur in a game meant to be closer to horror than a life-simulator.
As several of us have posted already, bright colors aren’t the issue as long as the saying «less is more» is kept in mind, it’s neon colors that doesn’t exist in nature and single-color schemes imho.
A lot of bird species (okay, not a lot but *some*) the females are just as bright but the pattern is different. Having a cool 'crest' color but in a different pattern/place on the body would be awesome and also make me want to play females again
That sounds like a great idea. Female dinos could use some love too.
