Shant questions in survival

I was nested in as a Shant last night, but before I cold grow to Sub My Shant mother fell off fo a cliff and died. So I have a hard road ahead of me. Having never played a Shant before, I have some questions.

Just how do they stack up against Carnis/carni groups? What do I really have to worry about if I make it to adult?

Any tips or advice would be welcome.

The mother shant could have been injected into survival. As for what shant can take it's pretty much anything but rex. Try to get into a herbi herd as soon as possible tho

There's Survival servers that inject non-survival dinos, so this person could very well be a Shant.

Does the server have alt-turn enabled? Shant has a terrible turn radius and can be killed pretty easily without alt-turn. But the stomp is very powerful and can one-shot apexes if timed right (I believe it has to be a head-shot to kill instantly), thus it should be your main weapon; a broken leg will disable your stomp, so be careful deciding whether you want to fight a rex.

It was a Shant injected that nested me in. The server is alt-turn disabled. I REALLY want to get this guy grown tho. I think she would be huge fun! Thank you all for your answers.

As far as I know, they are great against anything but rex, which it is basically fodder to because it cant run and bone break gets rid of its only seriously damaging attack.

A little update: I logged back in last night and mum was back. I was able to make about 80% adult before she walked off the same cliff as before and died again. Even more ironically, all of the other young Shants were following here, and I am again the only one left.

I will be hatching mum back in as soon as I can.
