Tips for Rex
I wanted to try playing as a rex, but 7 hours of growth seems hard. Does anybody know tips for surviving as a rex?

My only advice is personally just trying to lay low and stay out of trouble. Either that, or somehow get into a group that can defend you (although this latter one can be a double edged sword considering random groups may take you in or they may be cannibals).

Buy this game for 4 friends and play at the same time 100% of the time. Only way for now since everyone else does that. Solo you will die in 1 hour after going adult or you hide and get bored to death.

Are there any problems finding prey? And out of 10, how much would you recommend it?

Finding prey is basically never an issue cause of how abundant AI is. Also I, personally, am not a fan of bigger and heavier chaarcters in this game. Just not my style, prefer the more compact bois like dilo and cerato.

Ai can feed you as sub and juv. As adult you need to hunt players.
At sub and juvi rex survival is similar to other smaller dinos.

Is cerato a good solo tho?

It's hard to bump into other players... sadly

Dont treat survival progression as a one day thing, find a lake, stay hidden, come out at night for water, only hunt AI, log out when you hear dinos, come back the next day or just later.. You dont have to progress those 6 hours in one take, take your time with it... (and it's 6 not 7)

AI doesn't spawn when you are alone so you can't just run off and stay safe. So early on you have to stay near others but hidden and somewhere learn to defend yourself. Friends to play with is the most feasible option. Frankly, I feel its a waste of effort. Play a dilo, carno or raptor and you'll have alot of fun with far fewer limitations and time expended. You can also make Allo or Cera work too. Sucho isn't bad but it's only slightly less annoying than trex with the slow speed and water limitations.

What makes solo apex so bad is that one unfortunate circumstance, like a group shows up and you have to hide, means your likely to starve and have all of your time wasted. It really is terrible. A smart pack is going to kite you and bleed you from the back so you aren't a 1 man wrecking machine in the sense it becomes easy.

Juvi rex is the worse. I can take a fresh dilo and with like 2 hits chill and watch a ava bleed out which allows me to feed safely where a trex will have to chase that bad boy for ages attracting everything in the area to come and kill it. Things which by the way are in the area as AI doesn't spawn when you are alone. Apex are KOS to just about everyone so you won't find any mercy.

If you want to be a solo rex play a carno instead and if you get good enough to avoid being hit back there isn't really anything you can't best.

Is cerato a good solo tho?

I've seen success with everything in this game as a solo player so I'd say so.

I ate a Cera last night on my rex. That ambush sprint is just marvelous. So, if you solo Cera, be on the lookout for rex's with ludicrous speed.

What server do you play on? I want to play as a rex with you.

Back to the OP’s question . . . Here is my tip for TRex. Sprint into Titan Lake and then swim in circles until you drown.

Seriously though, my experience with TRex has been fun but frustrating as pointed out in previous posts above. Lay low, stay out of trouble, become adult, get killed by another pack of Apexes. Didn’t feel like it needed to be repeated, I’m good

Find a relatively hidden lake. Gulf lake was where I grew my giga into a sub (from there I traveled with a couple other giga subs and became adult, tho a couple others didn't make it), maybe I got lucky but there were a couple other juvis there and we were all in a communion because of AI.

If we ran out, we usually hunted whatever else there was unless it friendly called (sometimes one would be aggro and we just kill that).

Weird alliance between a giga, a dilo, and a juvy rex that stuck lol, even tho the dilo could have slaughtered us at any point.

Anyways my point still stands, find a nice secluded lake (twins is suicide) where you can live in relative peace, can hide if needed, and live off of AI. Gulf lake is really nice imo since you can hide easily at night. Once you become sub you can look for a pack and leave or just stay until adulthood, keeping out of the open because apexes do come through sometimes (2 of them got my cera)

It's a hard life but at least as sub rex you have more of a chance than a giga sub.
