Too much hunger.
the hunger is too fast, you eat a whole orodremus and after 15 minutes you have to eat again as a rex, why? we want to enjoy our dinosaur and not try to eat every ten minute with the tension of the death, give us at least 10 minutes more and 5 minutes more until death when the screen become red.

From what I've noticed, the younger your dinosaur is the faster it needs more food. This is especially noticeable as a hatchling. Growing dinos need a lot of food to sustain themselves and fuel their growth.

I personally like the hunger system as it makes you reevaluate what you should be doing.

good and civil answer,i like your view but i think that 5 or 10 minutes more add more fun to grow a juvie, that in this momen t is only Fear of the predators,Too much tension for finding food in time,Too much tension for find a water area, and too much TIME for grow.

If you want to be able to relax as an adult Tyrannosaurus (or Giganotosaurus), you have to be willing to hunt players. It's the only way to fill up to 100% hunger and enjoy your full 90 minute food decay. Hunting AI can only keep you fed if you hunt them constantly.

That's what you call balance

I noticed in the patch notes they had speeded up juvi/sub rex hunger times. I was worried at first but managed to live fairly well last weekend, got adult in my second attempt....

This weekend however, it’s been a mission! Playing V3 on high populations means running to the nearest water source then crossing fingers for AI to spawn. No AI or pressure to run out in front of a predator to drink.

Maybe my fault for not playing on official low pop or Thenyaw.

Well even with the increased hunger, subadults still have the advantage of smaller food capacity. Eating AIs goes a lot farther for them than it does for adults.

We had 3 subs and an adult earlier trying to survive on AI. It wasn’t easy. It was a 200 pop server so I guess AI would spawn less. Subs can’t eat the gore. Ava although big, doesn’t give much... I feel like they should give more but be less likely to spawn...

Your problem was the 200 pop. I play almost exclusively on official servers, and 100 pop allows enough AI for subs to easily stay at 100% hunger.

Be happy...not to long ago on v3 i felt as the food spawn was so weird i actually starved to death often as subadult even if i went for every ai sound there was.

Yes, you still better run to every ai you hear and camp somewhere in a bush or move around only when filled up 100 percent or move around really slowly, but it is better then the older days when you just starved because the amount of players in session was simply to high.

when being a full grown adult rex...congrats...thanks to the fact that ai spawn seems to be more plenty you actually have time to relax some more...in the official servers that is, since servers with even just 50 percent more players starvation is again gonna be a problem, probably because of the fact carcasses laying around influence the ai spawn and most big carnivores can not eat them(even though there is quite some evidence that the t-rex actually ate everything on a carcass including the bones)

sometimes there are sounds that made us think that ai is near, but is far away, they have to improve the ai sounds

Would it not make sense for the bigger the creature, the more food it needs to eat to sustain itself? I figure that the energy it takes to move all the bulk of a Rex all around a large landscape like V3 would be a lot.

Sure the volume of food is larger for adult creatures but young ones need food more frequently because they are fueling themselves as well as their growth.

yes but with a little stomach they have to be plenty faster than adults

Yeah, but Apexes are still massive creatures. They should be the ones that lose hunger faster than any other creature. Any large animal has to eat a LOT in a day to keep itself going.
