Subgiga is the weakest thing in existance. Its 'strong' so you can't facetank them well, but its turn is so bad they are easy prey to Utahs
Subtrike is still quite strong, and smaller dinos should avoid at all costs, but its an easy meal for an Allo, Cerato etc
From what i gathered. This is the ranking of those dinos from strength.
Sub Rex, Sub Giga, Then Sub trike.
Sub trike is Crap. It can get solo'd by pretty much anything. Honestly. Just don't waste your time getting to adult with this. Because last i heard, Adult trike, can't out run rex or out damage it. It basically dies. That's around 5 to 7 hours gone. I'm not quite sure how long trike now takes to get to adult, But i've heard people said it's the same time as the rex.
Sub Giga Get's solo'd really easily too. Don't fight dilo's, Utahs, Allo's, cerato's. Also avoid Sub rexes. As a sub giga, stick to killing ai. And stay quiet and out of sight. You'd probably get killed the second your seen.
If you do manage to reach adulthood as a giga. Avoid rexes. They have more stamina then you do. And just like rexes you don't gain stamina while moving. At least your trots faster. With giga, if you've been spotted, it's best to get out of the rexes line of sight and keep to the heavy foilage.
Sub rexes are apparently in a good spot.
Wow, basically all my questions got answered with this in one go.
Thank you for your professional approach, this has been very informative.
Though not gonna lie, reading all the cons sub-giga now possesses made me cringe quite a bit... This certainly won't going to be a pleasant run, but at least I know what to avoid. But then again trying to play hide-n-seek as something large as a truck will be a challenge of its own... -_-'
I can tell you that when you're a sub-adult you have to avoid any other adult dinosaur ... the only one you can beat is the dilophosaurus 1v1 2v1 will easily win ...
with the sub giga you can attack and kill all the juv and sub rex if caught by surprise .. the sub giga has a very high bleeding resistance (like the adult giga) that allows you to kill a sun rex (not too big) 1v1 against the sub rex it is risky because it is very low on your own and on its state of growth ... a bit like sub giga vs sub giga ...
Raptors are to be avoided under any circumstances ... you are an easy prey for them ..
the life of the adult giga is very (too) difficult ... especially when on the server there are many raptors on every pool of water.
In summary
you can face:
all juv
Sub rex
Sub Allo
never face:
raptors
adult dinos
dilophosaurus if they are in numerical superiority

Sub Rex appears to be in a good spot. I mean unlike sub-Giga it can properly hunt and at least juke and escape certain dinos. But given equally experienced players it still falls victim to most adult creatures in my experience. I'm not really sure if it could take on a full grown Allo at any point. Seems a bit outlandish to me tbh. In my many hours as a Carno I did not once come across a sub Rex that stood a real chance. A pair of them is a different story though. No doubt they become quite formidable opponents towards the end of their sub-adult stage.
Can't really say too much about sub-Trike, but it appears to be food for basically all adult Carnivores in survival right now. I could imagine it being capable of fending off a sub-Giga. Probably dies to a sub-Rex though.
Today I had a extended fight with a fully grown Utah and from my understanding the amount of damage / health and how much bleed you get depends on mass and size between the two dinos fighting.
Throughout the 10-15 minutes of cat and mouse I applied bleed to the utah 3 times in which he healed within seconds while my bleed stayed for the entire fight and it ultimatly killed me. Neither did my bites seem to do any major damage to him since he always would come back to nip me in the butt at every possebility he had.
So from my experiance is and have always been that avoid any contact with people untill you grow to an adult and even as a adult you have to be carefull about that bleed damage because you wont heal any of it.
I hope the devs will revisit the rexes since juvi and sub bone break got removed two or so patches ago.
I mean with allos, carnos etc. I don't even feel mad of dying since those guys at least have reasonable growth times compared to Apexes... Not sure if reaching apex adult is really worth all the gray hair the stress and frustration causes...
Yeah, they're not worth the time to get rn. Stick with the smaller dinos. They're much more quicker to reach to adulthood, as well as more balanced out. Apart from the herbs. The only balanced herbs in survival rn are probably dryo, Galli and possibly Para.
