If we had news I'm sure people would be popping open the beer kegs
As it goes for spino, not yet, or at all, devs have massive problems implementing apexes without destroying balance.
(Not condidering the fact the spino probably isnt developed yet)
I still don't get the point in having worked on fish eater dinosaurs and even putting them into the game when their main food source still isn't in. The hell is Bary supposed to even do at this point?
I still don't believe fishing mechanic will be out soon or ever, poor spino line.
Like it's not poor already.
I'd love to see Spinosaurus, even without fish as a ressource. Perhaps it would be able to scent during rain in a very fast animations, whereas outside of rain its a long and meh scenting?
So no, spinosaur without fishes is dead spinosaur.
Even if what you are saying is rather accurate about how spinosaurus was ill-suited as a hypercarnivore. But The Isle isn't aiming for realism; their Spino is intended to 50/50 a T.rex
Well no, grizzly bears don't hunt at all if they don't have to, and even if they do, they find it better to turn omnivore, and let's look at spino, I guess it couldn't do that.
Then if isle is not aiming for realism why would it need fishes in the first place? Let's just turn all fishers into casual rexes/allos/dilos depending on their size counterpartners and roll with it.
Well, what am I even talking about, it's probably how it will end in 90%.
I get that different people work on different things, and they likely were able to get those dinos done before fish were done...but for an EA game it doesn't look good when they start to jump the gun a bit like that. Especially when EA games are so scandalous these days.
