I don't understand how spawning and nesting works

Someone please explain this to me, I read that you can spawn as a baby at a nest but I have 0 idea how it works. Can someone help explain to me the basics of this game?

a female dinosaur has to place a nest by pressing 'b' and then proceeding to put food in the nest, after a couple minutes, (30 I think?) an egg will spawn, you must have enough food for the points to go up 1 minute = 1 point -2 food I think and then they can invite people to the nest through the + button, in order to spawn in it you have to be on the title screen of choosing a dinosaur, herbivore, carnivore, doesn't matter.

then in the right hand corner should be a button called 'nest' if it's not greyed off it means you have a nest invite, click it, and then you spawn as a baby of the mothers species.

ohhhhh ok. So you basically HAVE to have friends playing with you then. Or so it seems?

Not necessarily, some random people might invite you randomly, or in some discord servers there are chats just for that, so , there are many possibilities.

^ be warned though, some people only invite you to nests just so you can feed them, they’ll raise you till you’re nice and plump then munch.
