It is a bit ridiculous? I think yes, but it’s pretty much its signature feature currently, so I say we nerf its other department like its god tier alt-turn and buff Sucho’s mobility instead. Other dinos are fine as long as they can keep the Giga at bay.
to compare it, it is pretty much like you as a 1.80m 80kg person being taken down by a class of 2 year olds
i do how ever would like it if the giga only regained its stamina if it where walking or standing still, since like said, it is just to slow
yes pls nerf the worst dino in the isle
For example, a utah won't do 43 until you've reached full grown adult. If you're only say 80 something % to full grown, you're speed might be 35-38? I don't know the formula for it, but that's why you got chased down, or maybe you weren't running in a straight enough line?
So, as a full grown utah, you have the option to engage or avoid apex at your discretion. The only difference between apex and trikes is that trikes don't get a speed buff with ambush to catch a player. Nor can they crouch. Those are hunters tools, and if apex don't use them, they can "only" fight players that either:
1) Blunder right into or into ambush range at night
2) Choose to engage you.
So smart apex use crouch and ambush correctly to catch prey in the day. You can also use your AI to bait players, as well. ;) Ava are good ones to use, as often juvis and other not quite full grown players will pursue the ava thinking "OH! that's better than small foods! Nom-nomers!" and it'll take a while. In this time, you can setup for a good ambush.
They're paying too much attention to that ava they shouldn't be hunting lol. If an ava doesn't drop quickly, hunt smaller prey. You kill, you eat, then you move on.
As an apex, or any dinosaur really, by just stalking an area of high traffic, and good cover, you can make your kills just fine. Know your food. In the meantime, eat your AI.
With Allo packs being a thing again, would a Giga be able to fend off 3-4 Allos now?
Bah...all things difficult to kill or difficult to find. I saw my first Sucho in months the other day. Dibbles are plentiful, but always cupcaking with Trikes...
If we had toads and turtles to catch at water holes, better scavenging, nests to raid, etc, I’d be more willing to endure that little pug!
