Giga Is Too Fast
Am I right, or am I right?

Currently the giga is fast enough to catch utahraptors and allos by using crouch sprint and can out walk practically any other dinosaur in The Isle.

Giganotosaurus was a large carnivore bigger than t-rex, and a giga's main source of food was huge slow moving sauropods. Also, the giga didn't usually kill it's sauropod prey instead it just took bite sized chunks of meat off the huge herbivores.

I believe in-game the giga is currently faster than the rex and can walk faster than some other dinosaurs can run. The giga's stride alone let's it move at very fast pace. If the stride of the giga is making it much faster than the other smaller dinosaurs then I think the smaller dinos should receive realistic speed changes according to their body sizes. Giga was not an olympic sprinter or runner, and so the giga should have it's speed greatly reduced or other dinosaurs should receive a speed increase.

As far as speeds go, I think it would be best to make all the other dinosaurs faster than the giga because no one wants to play a slow dinosaur. Also, many herbivores are already painfully slow when they walk and have heavy stamina drain with slow regain, so it would be best to make them faster and more enjoyable to play.

It is . the leg reach this thing has is crazy . it runs me down ever time. All players will say if u got seen by this thing then u deserved it. Players don't account for the size of a dino. Gigs can 1 step like 15 yards. A dino that's 5 times smaller and faster is actually slower . it just don't can't make the huge steps this big dinos make . so yes u will get run down . and giga rex players know this

while gigas ambush is fast, it's no where near faster than a utahs run. utahs base run speed is 43km/h while gigas ambush speed is only around 40km/h and it's base run speed is only around 30 as well, which compaired to t-rexs 33 isn't very fast, the only thing it might out run without ambush is trike and maybe sucho, although a diablo won't stand much of a chance if abushed. it can walk pretty quickly but it's not catching anything other than juvies with it, which is an entirly different can of worms.

TL;DR Giga isn't that fast, but his walk is pretty good.

Mostly true. Most juvi are slower and get killed

Giga is not even close to catching a Utah unless the Utah is an idiot.

It's SUPPOSED to be trotting down prey. That's its whole thing.

Giga is slower than Rex sprint wise

almost all animals ARE faster than Giga, it's a matter of how well you pay attention and if you don't let them get close.

Lol, everything about the giga in your text is wrong 🤣 you must be a herbi player who nest the whole day, spamming the global with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ egg requests. Please leave the game, TY

I disagree, my friend, when your a Utah/Allo, make sure you know what's around you and don't get to close to predators like the Giga or rex.

Rex is way faster than giga and also is heavier, it makes no sense

Except is that you are WRONG, Giganotosaurus is NOT bigger than Tyrannosaurus rex.
This is an outdated belief created by media to overshame Tyrannosaurus just because its popular and people get bored of it so they go all "OOH NEW THEROPOD BIGGER THAN REX" everytime theres anew theropod discovery, it was never larger than rex and it still isnt. Go look for Franoys and Randomdinos, they are both very reliable paleontologists and themselves has valid explanation and REAL proof that Tyrannosaurus is larger than a Giganotosaurus and actually is the largest Theropod. Please stop using google as your source as its NOT reliable and uses countless outdated articles and estimates, Spinosaurus was not 21 tons. it was 6.8 or 7.5 tons
due to its body structures and adaptations and overall shorter height compared to other megatheropods. Tyrannosaurus is 12.35 meters long(Sue) and Giganotosaurus's largest is 12.25 meters long(Using the largest specimen and not using the stupid jaw fragment which could easily mean a individually different dinosaur, which does NOT mean at all it could grow larger than that, Scotty can counter that just fine) Size = Mass, and Tyrannosaurus is much more muscular. maximum can reach 9 tons where Giganotosaurus's max mass is 6.8 or 7 tons.
Please grow up and stop believing outdated estimates. Now into the game. Giganotosaurus is unbalanced in every way possible, Tyrannosaurus is an ambush predator. it NEEDS the speed to catch stuff, but it has a large drawback. 30 seconds of sprint, anything can outsprint it at a decent distance which is easy since Tyrannosaurus is huge and easily spotted. Giganotosaurus however has an overpowered trot and stamina regen along with its near impossible alt-turn.

Theres something called the METATARSAL bone. Leg adaptations that allow the leg to sustain more energy and less drag thefore allowing Tyrannosaurus to reach speeds higher than Giganotosaurus whichs rather primitive with its shorter knee bones

i love how it is faster then the rex, i love how it can regain stam while standing, gut yes, for what it is it is way to fast.

this thing can gain in on maia's and allo's that did end up to close and did not watch their stamina....totally ridiculous

though i feel, the issue of the overall speed has not to do to much with its top speed, rather with the long ambush sprint, trot speed and the really fast regain on its stamina.

i think if the ambush length is halved and the stamina is only regained if the person is standing still or laying down, we might even be looking at something that is nearly perfectly balanced.

kinda related/unrelated though....seriously, buff the speed of the juvi, it is comical how slow that thing is.

edit: really, the rex might run fast, but if i just keep a rex at 50 meters away and my dino is an adult i just know i am safe even if my stam aint half full...being chased by a giga though is even crazy as ♥♥♥♥ when being an allosaurus, a dino which, in my opinion, is already a tad to fast in regards to at least its ambush sprint.

edit: if you are getting killed by it playing as a utah you are really doing something wrong though.
