New dinosaurs

Now i'd prefer if they add and balance the currently existing dinos, but if they're going to add completely new dinosaurs here are a few that i think would be nice and here's why.

Troodon

Troodon would be another nocturnal dino since i think it's a bit unfair for Dilo to be the only one. It would have great NV and deal good bleed or venom. It would be one of the smallest carni in the game around the size of a Herra. It would be very fast aswell, and it would mainly hunt smaller prey like dryos, though a good player or one in packs could take on larger things. It can easily kill fresh adult Utahs and Dilos, although full adult ones would kill a Troodon easily so it's best to avoid them.
Growth time juvie - adult 45 minutes

Homalocephale

Homalocephale is a small dinosaur similar to the Pachy, but faster. It would be the herbi version of Troodon. While has an attack that can kill smaller dinosaurs it would run rather than attack them. It would have a similar niche to the Dryo however it is slightly slower than Dryo, at 38 kmh in exchange for it's headbutt, which deals quite alot of damage. If a Homalo would fight a Troodon in a straight 1v1 it would win. Although if the Troodon ambushes it, or attacks at night it would probably win. Being the same speed as a Dilo, but its better stam could make it outrun one.
Growth time juvie - adult 40 minutes

Kentrosaurus

Kentro would be a mid-tier version of the Stego, kind of like how Dibble is to Trike. It would be fast enough to outrun an Allo and its attack would deal a lot of bleed. It could easily lone Ceras and Allos although it has to look out for ones in packs.
Growth time juvie - adult 3 hours

Pachyrhinosaurus

The Pachyrhino would be like what Acro is to Giga. It's around the size of a sub Trike, and might fill a similar role but with seamless growth i guess this wouldn't be a problem. Its headbutt would deal bonebreak which would make it powerful compared to other mid-tiers. It would have to watch out for apexes, though.
Growth time juvie - adult 4 hours and a half.

that's fair but keep in mind there is no model to base troodon after, and including it would seem real tacked on, there is already a hella amount of unused models that would be cool to add, like the tiny postosuchid relative they have.

If they were going to add a troodon, I would like for them to add Latenivenatrix, which is what some troodon specimens were assigned to. And it's not all that small. But a troodon being added to me would just seem like it's role would be filled by velociraptor, or herrera.

Fair enough, but I doubt it takes much effort to design a non-existent animal.

TBH, I don't have high expectatons if the devs touch ANY of the small carnivores. Their history of handling them is... well, I have a much stronger word I'd like to use, but let's go with "disappointing."

Look how Dryo turned out. Like, how do you mess up Dryo? In my hands, Dryo is great, but I play it more aggressively than I do with a carnivore.

A good Utah or Carno will nuke a good Dryo player. I can understand being slower than Carno, but slower than a Utah? Not even at least the same speed?

Tacos, Oros, and Avas? Even before they were AI, they were trash. Velo was the only that was viable for its size, and it's just a shadow of its former glory now. Austro? Granted, it was a little broken, being able to solo a Rex, but enter Progression and it gets ♥♥♥♥ on.

Herrera is the last good small boi, and I fear the day that it gets reworked if ever.

If they did add another small carnivore, like Latenivenatrix, it would most likely suck.

I'd like- no, I'd LOVE to be proven wrong, but I doubt that's happening.

This just goes back probably to the developers just being really bad at balancing the game, when it doesn't really seem that hard at all.

Note a lot of the animals viability is blown out of proportion with the survival playables, and to me the sandbox dinos aren't in focus right now, hence why they aren't balanced. Either being too good like theri or being awful like austro.

Ouranosaurus isn’t very aquatic. You need Lurdusaurus, which BoB already has. There’re also Nemegtosaurus, a wading sauropod, Koreanoceratops and probably Liaoningosaurus, both are very small species no bigger than Velo.

Ouranosaurus isn’t very aquatic. You need Lurdusaurus, which BoB already has. There’re also Nemegtosaurus, a wading sauropod, Koreanoceratops and probably Liaoningosaurus, both are very small species no bigger than Velo.

The paper on Liaoningosaurus being like an aquatic snapping turtle I wouldn't put much ground on.

No joke, just about two or three weeks ago I suggested the exact same thing in the same manner, being venom or bleed, small size/needing a pack to kill a dilo, and having faster speed agility.

Also to add onto this. Troodon may not be a real dinosaur anymore, but guess what? The Isle's "Utahraptor" isn't a real dinosaur either. It's been due to get a name change to become a fictional dinosaur for awhile now. Plus what Ninja said, we already are getting enough fake dinos anyways.

Even then, the "Troodon" would be too similar to already existing dinosaurs, like herrera, austro, or the new "utahraptor".
EDIT: Heard from a post that the devs might add several species, like gigantoraptor, deinocheirus, and some "troodon" to serve as an omnivore. Which could work for the fella aswell.
