takes forever to update

well this is the only game that will take forever to preallocate and unpack the update! its starting to get very annoying! any ideas would be great

my updates arent even touching a GB they just take forever to allocate disk space and unpack

Getting a SSD and saving the game there will fix the "issue".
Can't tell why this happens on HDs.

I assume you're referring to the unpacking of updates rather than the downloads themselves? That often has to do with the speed of your HD, which is where SSD's often nullify the issue.

yeah the download itself takes seconds if that just the unpacking etc, i will have a look into sorting the issue, many thanks guys/gals

I have the game on my SSD, and 61 mb update takes a veeeeery long time to apply. Its the only game that uses so much time. Download is fast, unpacking is like walking in syrup.

I have the same issue for ages now. Even on a SSD. It needs 25min to allocate disk space, 45min to unpack the data and less than 1min for actually downloading. A couple of friends have the same problem and even deinstalled the game permanently because of that... Their harddrive also made a weird noise while updating The Isle. Other games update really fast and don't do that. :(
