Therizinosaurus Ability

Given there's a lot of changes about to happen and I've heard that one of my more favorite dinosaurs is at risk of being removed from playability, I've decided to give ti a shot at trying to come up with something unique for it.

First, it is a glass cannon gameplay wise. Faster than the other high tier herbivores and capable of dealing a decent amount of damage while also being relatively easilly killed itself, this dinosaur is a hard bet on the skill of the player's management of their turning and swiping.

This video is a reference to what I believe may be a noticeably potent ability on the Theri in the long run: while not a combat ability, being immune to a few of the hazards that will be placed around the island once the game has them implemented (take stagnant/poisonous water for example) would make them hard to keep track of as they can thrive where no other dinosaurs likely could, and thus could avoid the more popular locations.

Another ability could focus on further developing their three-swipe ability. Perhaps the last swipe has the chance of "disemboweling" a predator and dealing a massive amount of impact damage and bleed. This forces the Theri to then strategize and hit all three of their swipes, as they cannot do this while running and instead "uppercut" with a quick swipe of both forelimbs. This also forces predators to avoid just standing on top of them and biting repeatedly, further increasing the theri's chances of whittling them down over time.

Hamstring: A theri can cripple or slow a predator down by striking at their legs should it outmaneuver and get behind its opponent, and while this means a predator can turn on a dime, this also allows the theri time to run away at full speed. This would be used via the right click low-swipe attack.

Anything to stop Theriz from being a free meal that you can just face tank would be amazing right now. I would be fine with being a 1 shot to a Rex and having no bleed if Theriz would have that sweet, sweet damage. That's what made it scary back then. Ever since progression came out, poor old Theriz has gotten worse and less seen. Even with being the fastest of the top tier doesn't do it any good since it runs out of stamina just as fast as the Rex. The more l think about it the more l can see people saying that it's too strong. Bleed or more stamina is gonna be the only way to help it. Right now Theriz can do neither fight nor flight since almost anything that hunts it can either over power it or run/walk it down.

first thats not a rex its a tiranosaured and actually smaller than an alberto also theri could bearly pour throw skin with its claws cause they were not made for combat mainly but for easyer acces to food

All the theri in the video if I remember,may need to rewatch it,is a cousin of the theri,probably smaller,but Theri still lived alongside the Tarbosaurus,which is basically just a smaller,more primitive Tyrannosaurus Rex,so the Rex would easily tackle a theri,but if it were a sub adult,alberto,or tarbo on the other hand..

My point is A theri is built to outrun a rex in this game. I never claimed they could fight them. Can you please stay on topic: this is a discussion for their abilities.

Tarbosaurus is smaller than its American relative, yes, but it isn't so much smaller as to say that Tyrannosaurus would have an easy time killing a theri; having among the longest claws ever has its upsides.
