it does break bones so i think you were just very unlucky or missed
i don't understand how a rex killed you in 2 bites though since anky is immune to Rex crushing ability a rex should not mess with an anky at all but anky still might end up dead due to bleed dmg
bleeding is in my opinion a bit messed up in general, it's way overtuned, most dinos recover very slowly from it and combined with the outright horrible health regeneration of some dinosaurs it's just completely unfunny to play
