But alas.. i'm not getting my hopes up really.. I've proposed before some sort of dynamic system like this where say, food is consumed at different rates based on the activity of the dino, as to simulate how a real animal consumes energy.. and no one really cared xD
that doesn't make any sense because feathers not just keep the animals body warm but help it to cool down at the same time

so a desert dwelling dinosaur will be in a trouble without a thick feather covering on its back
(this is one of the reasons why i disagree with the featherless dinosaurs, feathers give a HUGE advantage to its owner so there are no reason to leave them)
I do think the whole 'feather dinos will be punished when the temp rises' thing, would cause a lot of complaining, though..
V4 also planned to have a volcano in the center.
Not sure about temperature changes because then we get into matabolism of dinosaurs and that is a risky business. I don't think we have any evidence that dinosaurs used sweat glands. So increasing thirst in hot weather doesn't make sense either. Perhaps reducing stamina in both extreme heat or extreme cold, butanimals either die or migrate somewhere else when it is cold. Plus we talking about an island here so temperature can't range more than 10 C from one day to the next.
