Utah Raptor speed seems pretty slow....

Why is it so slow? Shouldnt it be much faster? I remember watching an old YT vid from Anthomnia and they had pretty good speed. Why would it be nerfed?

I mean....its a raptor! Shouldnt it naturally be pretty fast?! I'm really disappointed by this

ps.its also the a large bulky raptor with shorter legs so naturaly it would be slower

They dont look short to me...still doesnt make sense, and its not that "bulky" its just the biggest of the raptor family

New fossils suggest that was a very bulky and strong raptor not as speedy like dakota but with more flexible tail.

You do realise that Utahraptor is the 2nd fastest dinosaur in the game?
Its not the apex of the the speed tree, its not even part of the speed tree. If anything utahraptor should be slowed down

Just cuz its not part of the "speed" tree, doesnt mean it shouldnt be....my statement still stands, inheriantly raptors are fast and agile

When it shouldn't, because Carnotaurus being the speed apex should be the fastest. And while raptors would be agile, they wouldn't be that fast, especially Utahraptor being built more for power rather than speed.

From what I've seen, they dont seem they even do that much dmg. Even as a pack, especially given of how careful they have to be so arent one shotted by their large prey. I'm not saying they have to be faster than a Carno, also I'm NOT asking for a mad speed increase buff. Just abit faster

It was not slowed down. It is the second fastest dino in the game, behind galli.

It might feel slow due to its animation with its biiig slow strides while sprinting, but it is the fastest carnivore right now.

I don't think their bite is really meant to do much damage when its specialty lies with the pounce, which still needs work.

It's not meant to be particularly fast or meant to have a super nasty bite, doesn't need either of those once that pounce is polished.

Utahraptor is in a very good spot, if anything it should be slower. It's small enough to hide, can do TONS of damage while pouncing, has a fast ambush, and can hunt anything smaller than it with ease. If anything it needs to be slowed down, as utahraptor wasn't at all built for speed.

Welp, I think case is settled here.... Kyre's comment makes sense. As long as Utahs speed doesnt take a fat nerf hammer, I'm fine if it does get a -slight- speed nerf.

When Utah can pounce on medium size dino like Carno or Allo, I say it should be even slower, may be even Allo's speed due to be able to protect itself by its pounce... I would rather see a weight buff than speed buff in this guy.

Seriously, Utah is just too good at running right now. It's the fastest carnivore in the game and only second to Galli, however, unlike Galli, it regains stamina very fast even in trot and in one go can chase Galli to their death as the latter require to sit to regain stam...

I swear I actually thought it was going to get downsized so it would be able to pounce onto more things. Right now it can't fit onto things like Allo, can barely even fit on a Trike.
