Theri-Giga question
I was playing Therizinosaurus and got stalked by a Spino. I managed to get away with half stamina left, and while I was regaining it, a Giga appeared and started heading toward me, trotting...

I ran away and the Giga just trotted casually after me. Its trot was so fast that I ran out of stam before getting enough space between me and the Giga. I get killed, and it's probably my problem for having not enough stamina. However, I am surprised that Giga can actually followed a Theri in its sprint with just trotting alone that half Theri's stamina is not enough to let it escape...

So, anyone have sucessfully run away from pursuing Giga as Theri before? Is it possible to with full stam? Giga's point of view is appreciate as well. this info will help greatly due to me suspecting a free meal situation which I never believe would happen to Theri after the Giga's stamina nerf.

I think you would have around 30 seconds worth of stamina left if you had half stam.
The giga would have 20 stam (at full stam), so its not too much of a stretch.

But if it was trotting after you, it could be quite difficult to escape, theri is quite large and cant crouch.
It would also depend on the environment and places to hide

No, Giga can bleed Theri out in just two bites. Also, Theri's damage is very low iirc.

Theri 3 swipe attack kills a Rex. I think it kills Giga too. And Giga doesn't have enough base damage to kill theri outright.

Yeah pretty sure theri is the weakest of the tier 4 herbivores.

No that title goes to stego. Theri can slice up everything up to Rex in one attack.

I killed Giga as Stego more time than with a Theri, so nope

so first of all that not good evidence, the giga must have been terrible because they only need to bite you twice to bleed you out or bite you three to four times to kill you.

theri has a higher weight then stego and does more base damage, its triple strike can kill a rex in one blow. it also faster then stego.
stego can hardly save itself from a bad rex, cause a good rex would ended it before it could get hit. even if stego hits rex two times rex can heal it off and kill it.
stego is the weakest. but it is also one of the most feared, because it deals with everything else effectively

Stego is in a really bad position right now, its just good enough to make sure that every acro, sucho and allo (and below) wont go near it, but its not good enough to put up a fight against rex, spino or giga.
This means that whatever does attack a stego, is guaranteed to win 99% of the time

The problem with the stego is it not enaugh powerfull for fight back a rex or spino, for Giga, maybe you will kill it first, but the bleed sadly will take you down
Stego should be lowered a tier (if tiers are still a thing). Ulitmately the two big things that go against it are it's low weight and low speed. Which you can't really change. Not to mention it was a jurassic herbivore, and it only had to defend it's self from apex predators like Allosaurus. It would make more sense as a progression to Anky. since anky is really just a heavier more armoured dinosaur.

a tier between the big herbivores and the medium ones would be nice to fill out the ecosystem too. because atm as an Acro/Allo/Sucho. Herbivores are either easy to hunt and garenteed or too dangerous to attempt to hunt them. Something that has 50/50 relationship with Allo and Sucho, and maybe Acro would be to have, and I think Stego would be a good start in that category.

Wow, I didn't know Theri's damage is buffed. I did turn to fight in the last second though, still I can't get all the swipe combo on the Giga as it's too fast and keep running through my body, probably missed to the lag as well, so the Giga managed to land 2 bite on me...

If the "one-shot rex thing" relates to the previous rumor where it was doing that, it may not be correct. From what I remember that was originally seen on the test map, which has one or two strange nuances apparently. One of them being that Theri's hitbox seems to register multiple times on rex specifically there, giving the illusion of one-shotting it.

Now I have not tested this, so I recommend you do so before taking risks with it, but on other maps I believe rex is able to survive the 3-swipe and Giga certainly is.

Interesting. I tested it on testmap, becuase progressing to theri or rex to risk it is too time consuming.
