Anno 2205 on PS4 and Xboxone

Most likely it will be dumbed down to Casual Players, interface messed up and really bad with Mouse and Keyboard barely playable (my guess) and ofcourse Microtransactions..

Can you imagine how poorly this game would run on a console though? The Anno games can be very CPU intensive as you build up to larger settlements and the consoles are running ultra low end tablet CPU's that would have been considered weak and outdated even back when Anno 2070 launched. If you check out Digital Foundry, the consoles are consistently outperformed by a PC with an i3, so I can't imagine these games even running at a playable framerate once you have more than a couple of cities built.

That kind of stuff happens all the time. It doesn't mean that their will be console versions of the game. And if there were, Ubisoft would make an announcement before Amazon threw those versions up on their store.

Notice they also mention the dreaded Tages? The only reason it's even brough up is because the lack of communication on the issue between Ubisoft and the fans in the earlier games left a really bad taste in some gamers mouth. Considering they installed a rootkit military grade back door on every PC that installed it.

Anyways sounds like it's been consolized to me. I guess time will tell. Either way I am not paying full price to find out heh and knowing Ubisoft well...

Do you not know how you consify a game? you simplify the menus, seen as no one knows what it looks like, and that we are talking about anno 2205 and not any of the priors...

Exactly. Previous Anno games (not the shoddy garbage free one) were PC exclusive as far as i know and were just perfect.. i still play lots of anno 1404 and 2070 because they're so much fun.. but i wont play 2205 because it's ubisoft-ified with 80€ price tag for "Gold Edition", Uplay ontop of Steam and ofcourse the consolified UI it will most likely have.. gameplay dumbed down because the Consoles probably wont be able to handle it at 60 fps unless they cut down so many things and features.. not that i dislike consoles.. i love my PS4 and the PS4 only games.. but i hate how PC games have to suffer because of them being not so powerful.

Well they have taken a few things away, this could be a design decision due to it not working the way they want, or they are streamlining it for consoles. If they take too many things away, that's a big clue.

I like consoles, i like knowing that the game i buy it pretty much garunteed to work, you don't get the arkham knight type issues on the ps4/xbone. But the real works of art, the heavy games. They need a pc to explore their potential.

Games like this just arent suited to using a controller over a keyboard and mouse without a ton of streamlining and wonky controls. Recent XCom was stripped back for consoles and as a result the moving or camera controls for kb&m were a mess in some of the levels that had interior and exteriors overlapping.

Uplay is only on top of steam if you choose to buy it that way, that arguement really doesnt hold much water.
