1602 +1 spent some much time with that game :)
As for Anno 2070 I would recommend that and from what I understand it’s more like the older Anno games. Didn't clock up a thousand hours but got over five hundred so would have been well worth the price even if I didn't buy it in a sale.
This is a fun game and actually a good game. But its not an Anno game as you are use too.
This is totaly different and actually a bit dumbed down. to point and click where you are told to click.
If you want an Anno that you are used too this is not the game.
I myself have thousands of hours in all Anno titles starting with 1602.
This is not within those titles.
i like the new changes to it i diagree with nenne about that part where they say u have to klick where they tell u u can klick and build where ever u want atleast on ur islands or craters
u still have 2 think where to place ur stuff or u will have later the problem that u have drag and drop ur houses
but for its the best anno so far it heals my gamer heart after the let down with might and magic heroes the last part was buged and not good made
I don't recommend buying it from Steam. It's far too expensive. I only paid £18.99 for my copy. I don't understand why people have to buy stuff from Steam, even if it's 50% plus cheaper for a legit copy elsewhere, seems stupid to me.
It's like 1/3 of a game compared to Anno 2070.
Everything is slightly simplified so you don't miss it at first but then, I atleast, realised how much I prefered setting up transfer routes and seeing my fleet travelling the world map going about their business.
The combat is OPTIONAL BUT TERRIBLE, even on the hardest difficulty you could basically click attack/move and go afk, but that'll probably be a DLC feature...
Definately not worth £49.99 and at £19.99, the price I paid, I feel it was worth the price.
No more, no less.
Anno 1404 still the best Anno for me!
I even bought it for a friend, and 2 more I know just got it. We were all on skype while playing.. they were all Oooooo Neat... this is cool....
So I would say.. yes.. worth the money
You can pick up buildings so you do not need to have the map in your mind. But if this was the thrilling part for you, something else might be more worth your money
