If you hate change you'll hate Anno 2205.
Anno 2205 is significantly less tedious than previous anno games, but the core gameplay of effecient logistics and building is still there.
Did you even read the OP? Clearly the new map design isn't going to have him jumping for joy now is it? It's actually a far more restrictive system than older Anno's.
I do miss scenarios and colonizing all the islands because of different fertility, but on the other hand i love the new inbuild calculator and the reduced need to have special city designs for service radius.
This game feels very different from 2070 and the other annos, almost like a offspin, i think you can play both.
Im not sure how long this one will last yet, there arent any scenarios to beat, which added a lot of gametime to the other annoy for me.
lol when 2070 was released these people were saying 1404 was the best.
The cycle never changes.
and now started with 2205 with the expectations that it will be the same ... but up till now i enjoy the game .. but dont expect a anno game ... if it would be called something else you would believe it too ^^ - doesnt feel like anno in any way .. but its a really nice strategy game where you can make a cool economy
But what was surprising that after ~ 100 hours of play (1.500.000 inhabitants so i can tell you whats goin gon) my desire to start another game was 0.
I don't want to rage a lot so if you speak german, here is the best review of the game so far , very objective: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD5lZGswygw
all in all : best looking anno, biggest cities, but the best ? (they leave the question open to the viewer and give you hints why it's certainly not the best)
In Anno 2205 I felt like I got my corperation to a healty size, and was about ready to take on the "enemy" just to find out there was no storyline after making the corperation.
I feel like I bought only half a game. And if the DLC's only is new maps I will be very disapointed.
But do you like city building and layout, there are hours of fun.
One thing I realy don't like though, is that the game seems to run on the same stupid idea as many politicians seems to follow.
Just build some empty houses, and people with no jobs move in and pays you a lot.
For me... Yes :)
Agree. :)
