5 tips for new players (new vid: 5 tips to make more money).
Hey everyone!
Anno 2205 has some mechanics that differ from the previous installments, which are not necessarily well explained in the game itself. So I made both a video as well as a written list (in case you don't like video formats), in order to explain these mechanics.

Hope it's useful!

Written version:

1) Logistics are not just a statistic for you to manage. The distance of your factories from the transport centres matters. Factories far away cost way more logistics than those close by to your transport centres.

2) Residence complexes seem to be much more efficient than normal residences. They require less roads, cost less to upgrade, provide a bit more revenue (see video for examples).

3) Be aware of some 'advanced' features of the game. You can move around buildings freely with M, you can copy them with C. You can speed up the game with +, and in the options you can set a right-click menu that's very handy as well.

4) Provision centres such as the infodrome work the same as logistic centres. This means that you can build it almost everywhere and it will still provide information (or security, maintenance etc.). However, far-away houses draw more information than close-by ones.

5) During combat missions, look out for the double-arrows on the minimap. These provide you with sidequests during the mission, which can increase your rewards and experience.

I think provision centres work similarly to logistics. It seems to take into account the road distance more so than the radius. With the Metro (tier 3) it's very noticable.

Good point! Really hate metro-stations! They're so huge and they don't seem to provide a whole lot of happiness! Be glad you have a metro damn you! ^^

Does anyone know where to find exactly how much information etc. each house uses? I know that the infodrome provides +10 info, but it seems hard to find how much exactly of that is used, unless I'm missing something somewhere.

SAVE IRIDIUM AND CREDITS FOR THE MOON

the moon eats all your monies and you need the iridium to reduce the 3k running costs of even the basic production facilities on the moon.

My credits has been in the negative the entire game but it doesn't seem to matter because that just means you get more money. I basically played through the entire game with a massive deficit but it never mattered at all - it rewards you even, with the bonus money I mentioned. This is silly.

I'm also not really sure why my deficit is so high or how to tackle it. I have basically all the supplies I need, all the production I need.. ive been removing my production and replacing it with less but upgraded buildings in the arctic, where I wasted a lot to make heat, but I feel like I'm just shooting dirt. My deficit is -140k and an upgrade takes off like 100$. Lol.

The higher difficulty will actually make you game over if you go negative for too long. The lower difficulties just throw money at you I think.

The key to making money is building houses in your temperate zone, that will get you more "taxes". You should be expanding there at all times in order to finance the heavy costs of the arctic zone, and the outright terrifying costs of the lunar project.

Secondary is definatly watching the costs of your production facilities. Also, powerstations have a credit reduction bonus module, that reduces costs for 10% per each sub-station built.

Is there a way to pause or adjust the game speed?
Eldwen 2015 年 11 月 4 日 下午 9:02
"P" - Pause.
"+/-" Speed.

Yeah the moon gets crazy. Be sure to use those calculators to get the credit maintenance of energy supplying buildings down.

The micro management is much easier in Anno 2205. Jury is still out on the macro.

I like the micro in 2205 than in 2070. I found in the last game it got pretty extreme late game and was very hard to keep up with.

i do miss the islands with fertilities and hauling building materials around, but i love the new inbuild production calculator, watching warehouses and using online calculators was not micro i enjoyed at all.

I would use a production calculator on my cell phone so I didn't have to minimize lol. Very time consuming, I'm glad they changed.
