i am at a +50k income from one of my maps. im fine there, i want to improve my game.

For lunar, space isn't really a concern, but you still want to reduce cost as much as possible. Use the cost reduction modules on all energy producers. Only build enough housing to provide workers and build just enough stuff to keep them happy. Use workforce modules and tundra modules if you can spare them.
