Boni ??
ionmage Aug 2, 2016 @ 2:15am
I think he means the bonuses. I actually am wondering the same thing.

No, don't think so... and there aren't bonuses, it's just 1 bonus, a ship, a skin of the ship... so... you're better off without it... :D

Here in germany the plural of "bonus" is "boni". Many people don't know that the correct english plural isn't boni, but bonuses (In my opinion boni sounds english too, so it can easily be mistook i suppose). Dunno if the OP is from germany though :)

I need that Ship and the Skin :happy_creep:
DeVeteran Aug 2, 2016 @ 5:51am
You only need the Skin... the ship is the same in every aspect, except the skin... same speed, same functionality... only the skin is different...

Honestly? With how the game has been, filled with bugs and monotous untill all DLC has been released, they should NEVER release that skin... at least those who bought the game for full price have something extra for that amount of money spent...

Because you know something? If they put the ship back as an extra, I will NEVER buy another Ubi game full price, no matter what bonuses it gives, because, hey, sonner or later, it'll be available, thus, you don't need to buy it day one, when you can buy it a few months down the road, possible 33% to 50% off, and after 1 year get the bonusses too...

Also, it was Pre-order... it's not bonuses say, from Deluxe edition... items that could be broght back if say, all the deluxe editions have been sold, or they stripped the Deluxe version... so they make it an upgrade... this was a pre-order bonus, a mark of, hmm, take it as a mark of trust from the devs that you are buying it before the release, full price...

While i somehow agree with you, i don't like exclusive DLC (Have the pre-order DLC ofc, because i like the Anno-series).

I'm a completist and want everything in a game, but some games aren't that interesting at release and only become interesting after a few patches/new content-DLC. I wouldn't even mind paying 10€ for a pre-order DLC or something like that (to compensate the ruduced price of the base game after some time), as long as it's accessable after release. There are some dev-studios that publish pre-order DLC after release for a few euros and i always have a better feeling buying games from them, than games with locked content.

In my opinion, everything should be made available except the pre-order stuff... that pre-order stuff is an incentive for someone to buy the game at full price EVEN if they're not quite happy with it... it's been put there for a reason, to make more money... if not, that thing could have been in a separate DLC or ingame already, through a quest...

If they do make it available, I'd say put it at a price that's the difference from the game price release and now... say, game costed 70 euro when it launched? Now it's 40? No problem, get this skin for 30 euros... seems fair... Why should I have to fork money out for a pre-order bonus, not enjoy the game for 1 year until they fix it, then you come and get that same pre-order bonus for 2 euro? After also having bought the game @ 75% cut?

From a consumer perspective that should be a reason to get rid of pre-order DLC at all and instead force companies to make their games more interesting to be able ro remain at a certain price level from release on (see e.g. GTA5, which is more than 1 1/2 year old, but never got a huge sale, because it's so popular). If nobody want to buy games on release, because they are crap, they ofc get dumped down to a 75%sale to at least make some money out of it.

Would be an interesting study in my opinion to compare the time a game becomes available on sale and consumer happiness. Without further reasearch i would say the more people like a game, the longer it takes for the game to be avilable on huge sales.

Yes...to make money, and no...not greedily make money. Pre-order incentives play the role of demonstrating/actuating interest in the new product. It gives management the ability to say, "Now X many people own this, maybe it'd be good if we....(insert whatever)." This especially helps to spur investors to dig just a tad deeper into their pockets to see a product to the finish line. Some people think these games are raking them over the coals moneywise. I laugh (HA!) at them. I spend ten times as much as Anno 2205 asks a month on an average Saturday night out.

Maybe instead of denigrating the character of others, some folks should invest in real training and get real jobs...then come back and tell us what "a lot of money" is.

TYVM...don't get up.

Hey LordJulius,

There are no current plans to release the pre-order bonus.

Apologies for any inconvenience.
