I don't see the key neither. I want to complete the installation and see if the game works or what.

It doesn't need it. Just boot it, and uplay will activate the game for you.

It's not like the old games where you need to copy the key and add it manually on the other client. Paradox went the same way, cdkeys dissappearing and just linking your steam profile to their database

It's a better experience

Ok so now, we don't buy a physical copy anymore, we buy "an experiance". I bought a CD KEY, and now, I'm not even alowed to see it. What did I bought then ? Squat. Their magic system is so awesome that if THEY fail, we don't have any backup solution.

check your cache integrity. their wonderfull system may wake up and realize they didn't make you download what you rightfully own.

NO... It isnt working to "just boot it up" no cd key no play... typical staem ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... Ill give it a day then ask for refund

Same here, Uplay starts up with asking for the activation code. Where is it???
Did the same with 2070 a few hors before 2205 and it all worked as expected.
An answer or better a fix would be the least.

Same! I've uninstalled/reinstalled it, ran Steam as Admin, not sure what else to do... :(

Same issue. Installed fine, CD key did not appear. UPLAY asks for the CD key on attempting to run the game. I've tried verifying the game cache and restarting the client as per Steam's advice but to no avail. I'm really interested in playing this game having spent £30 on it, but I'm really unimpressed by the lack of response to my support requests to Steam and to UPLAY.

Will be the last time ever I buy a season pass. Considering how unrelyable is gaming industry, I don't understand why such practice exist. "pay first, see later (maybe)"
As a commercial and economic belief, I think it's all wrong to pay and to get it "someday". In restaurant, you eat THEN you pay. At any store, you touch, you feel the good, THEN you pay. in videogame ? You are fooled with falacious advertisment, misleading trailer. And sometimes, noting in return. no goods, no CD key... Seriously, If I Don't have the right to have/see a CD Key, what am I paying for ????

Easy fix!

Call UBISOFT support (telephone numbers are stickied in the game discussion board).
Explain your issue, give them your UPLAY details.
They will issue you a support ticket.
Attach a PDF of the reciept from steam.
They will activate the game for you.

i found a solution:
- close Uplay (shut down)
- Open Uplay and let the update
- launch the game on steam

worked for me
