Disabling Invasions

Is there any way to actually disable invasions, or otherwise 'strike' at the orbital watch in a combat mission to actually make their invasions completely end?

I enabled it w/ a new corp early on thinking it would be cool and perhaps similar to Anno 2070, but even on the lowest setting they invade an absolute stupid amount of times, even despite doing missions 'striking' at them which you would think, logically, might dramatically reduce their capable numbers.

It became annoying and it seems restarting the game is the only option.

There was a mission at one point that implied you would be able to strike at their 'earth bases' to potentially stop them, but nothing ever came from it unfortunately.

Exccept from changing the difficulty settings were is no way to stop the invasions.
I believe that, if the game developement wouldnt be stopped by Ubisoft, where would have come much more features with the Frontiers DLC and it would be more balanced.
