You are kidding me right?
Coming from PC with mouse and keyboard, any other editor than the "classic editor" is simply unusable for most Trackmaniacs. But it is perhaps only a matter of habit ;)
It just seems so overly complicated and why they choose to "hide" classic build mode like that is beyond me and if you choose to use classic then all the prebuild stuff is not there, wtf? I really hope that they will take a look at the editor/s and rework some things and maybe simplify the whole validation of tracks and naming.
i think i know why.. because tmt was designed as a console game where there can't be stuff like a dropdown menue because the consoles don't have the right input devices to access such a menue. therefore everything easily reachable is designed for gamepad use and the dropdown bar is just an addition to the pc version.
i would love to see this dropdown bar removed completely because its very counter-intuitive and as we all see most ppl don't even notice it. best would have been to include all the stuff from the dropdown bar into the games menue system but they didn'T do it because on console theres no need for the extra stuff from the dropdown bar
Yeah seems to be the "issue" :) but why the devs dident just let ppl choose if they wanted to use classic or the the new and "cough" improved editor is a wierd choice imo, ah well i guess its something i/ppl will have to deal with.
That is 100% true but why "hide" it?
Been fiddling abit with the validation system and how to get the tracks saved, all it seems we are able to do atm are validate the track then save(dont hit "Save As" will prompt you to validate the track in a loop), have not been able to figure out how to name tracks yet, so if anyone out there might have an idea would be greatly appriciated :)
