Hey Hui Buh,
Thank you for reaching out!
Valve test and verify games for Steam Deck support and they've rated Trackmania Turbo as 'Playable'.
This means the game should work, but may require additional configuration.
As the Steam Decks is not an officially supported platforms, we're limited in the assistance we can offer, however Valve does have a guide with some troubleshooting steps available here.
There's also the official Steam Deck forums where other players may be able to offer some further advice and assistance too.
If there's anything more we can assist with at all, please let us know!

You are correct, this is a problem. I put up a workaround on Valves Proton github for the game.
Trackmania Turbo (375900) #6637[github.com]
a game i paid for not allowing me to play. what if their servers are down or i have no internet, im not allowed to drive little cars without phoning home?
great game otherwise, can't wait to try on deck
A shame, because this was a blast to play on ps4.
Thanks for sharing this workaround jolty!
monSTAHdoh - while the game isn't officially supported on Steam Deck, it should run on PC without issue.
May we please know more about what exact issue you're encountering when attempting to launch?
And does it continue when you install the Ubisoft Connect client[ubi.li]?

This actually has nothing to do with the steam deck, and everything to do with broken DRM / dual launcher authorization nonsense. The problem has only manifested itself on the deck. Because the game itself actually does work on deck as evidenced by the work arounds. Its just the broken bloated launcher that's breaking the game.
Riddle me this; if I buy a game on Uplay and launch it, should it also launch Steam and force me to log in? If I buy a game on Epic, should it launch EA's Origin and force me to log in there? It's a silly requirement.
Especially when trying to play offline in single player mode where I shouldn't even need the internet.
Bonus: If I right click on the game -> properties, then go into the DLC tab, I see an entry that is installed called "Trackmania Turbo - WW Uplay Activation" Size 5.07MB. So despite even having this completely valid activation DLC thing installed it tells me I can't play...
"You will own nothing and be happy..."
The year is 20XX and the zombie apocalypse outbreaks. The internet is down globally. I go down to my underground bunker to wait it out. Luckily I have solar panels and loaded up steam deck to wait out the hoards. I go to launch Trackturbo and "oops, no internet, no game".
What if we have another carrington event? A mass coronal ejection that wipes out the power grid?! What if winnie the pooh decides to push the big red button?!
Obviously I'm being facetious, a little silly. But my point remains.
Good thing I'll have a debugger and a hex editor and a lot of free time in my bunker ;)
My work around was to fix a ubisoft issue. The game doesn't launch without issues because it is shipped on steam with a old launcher.
The exact issue it pre-installs the deprecated Uplay Launcher that cannot self update itself anymore.
Ask the janitor, to replace UplayInstaller.exe with UbisoftConnectInstaller.exe in the Steam repository.
Thanks!

@Ubi its been many months now. With how popular the deck is its seems really foolish not to update the launcher, especially when its such a simple fix to just replace. No dev work required.
Please update so new users don't have to mess around with install.vdf files
again, why do I require an active internet connection to play an offline single player game?
what an awful user experience. a pirated version of this game is a literally a better user experience. why do you treat paying customers like this ubi?
“One thing that we have learned is that piracy is not a pricing issue. It’s a service issue,”
It seems that you do not understand technology because the Seam Deck IS a PC.
A Personal Computer that I own. I understand that ownership is a difficult concept for ubisoft.
With "multi millions" [www.theverge.com] of decks sold, is it really wise for Ubi to ignore this market?
remember I am clairvoyant as proven earlier. I am trying to help you ubisoft.
just update your launcher and allow steam deck users to play offline for the game they paid for.
you are actually losing sales from from people who want to play on deck, read your reviews.
