still I prefer to just pay once for a game and own it. It will add up after a while.

It's not a monthly fee? It's $10 for a year of standard access. If you don't resubscribe, you can still play all the content you had access to for that year forever (all 4 campaign seasons of 25 tracks each, as well as all 365 tracks of the day). You just won't be able to access the new tracks once the season is over.
The other environments have a high skill ceiling so even then I see a bunch of new players giving up and calling it bad even though it's them.
Some players don't like a challenge to adjust to a new car, I think tm turbo is good for that but I hate how it locks all progression when you can't get past for example red canyon you can't play the other environment red campaigns.
