Soul items

Most of the colored souls just describe what stat they improve(green = HP, ect) but the black soul you get from dying is the only one that has the flavor text that makes it sound like it's a bad idea to use.
So I ask, is it a bad idea to use them?

No consequence in BS1, it increases all your stats but are difficult to come by in the early game. You typically sell those soul items at the start to increase your and companions levels

it just slightly raises all stats (not by a lot, like 3 or so ish points?) nothing bad can happen from using them from what i can tell, so spam away if you got a few since they can only benefit you
