Are some items simply impossible to get in Kanashimi mode?

I was able to get everything except one wrench (the one underneath that "bridge" shortly after the miniboss) and the gem from Sir Fallenstar's stage. And of course the bonus for collecting all the gems. Are these simply impossible to obtain as Kanashimi?

Going through Kanashimi Mode at the moment and stuck without collecting the same two. I will update if I succeed somehow. Not sure how I did a double jump earlier in the game in Sir Fallenstar stage for the first Cursed Shield. Could not repeat the double jump.

Can repeat the double jump in Sir Fallenstar. Got the scroll for bombs in Explosion Girl stage and got the diamond from Sir Fallenstar. Just the last wrench left.
