Warlock build ideas
Hey can I get some tips on a good warlock build for walking around and melting enemies?

I've tried many AoE builds with good mobility, but so far, the only decent build with DPS I've done was a Bone Spear machinegunner, using Thorns as base damage, with a decent final stacking Bleed DoT.

Masochist Set: Helm, Chest, Off-hand
Retaliator's Set: Acessory and Boots
Porthos + Aramis Set
The Kennerth staff

Weyrick's Crown on Helm
Hearthstone on Acessory
Splinter Skull on Amulet
Potency on Offhand (filler)
Elementium on Chest
The Bone Spear on staff
Critical Thorns on Boots
Kingsrock on Ring

Shadow Resistance Gem on armor
Bleed Damage on acessories
4 mana cost reduction, 1 attack speed on hands

Mana Regen on kill proc on Ring, Attack Speed on crit proc on Weapon, Damage on Kill proc on amulet.

Unbuffed stats: 67 million throns damage, 84% mana cost reduction, 727% bleed damage

Movement using Soul Warp tome or scrolls

Can easily melt Mythic XV, but survivability isn't that high to push Endless beyond 20, probably

If you "shotgun" people in point-blank, the Bleed DoT goes above trillions in 3 ticks.

I suppose if I leave the game buying scrolls for me non-stop for some time, I could make a Bone Storm build with AoE damage instead, with no need for cooldown or mana cost reduction to make it viable. I guess I'll do that with some Macro software, haha, could be worth it.

Qunitruple Bonestorm Warlock

I tried a bleed build too but using bone storm.

4pc Maschoist set (Weyricks Crown, Book of Souls, Kennerth, Critical Thorns)
The ring /amu set with Res * 3 = damage (Kingsrock, Star of the Pure = crazy shields)
Balgar's Binding (Heart of the Forest = CDR!)
Staggering Boots with Exoskeleton rune (30 stacks maschoism with the rune gives 600k Base Thorns)

Soulwarp for teleport (below 0,5 sec CD)
Ritual of Souls for health / mana / damage
Bonestorm (around 2 sec CD, above 11 sec duration = 5 up all the time)
Soulbarrier for crazy shield
Ultimate from shadow tree
Soultap (for instant souls on demand without needing kills, maybe you could use a pet here or something else - i just didnt find anything better yet)
Book of healing touch to make up for everything that goes through

Max CDR (i even use the gems on weapon/offhand instead of crit damage),
Max Effect Durration (longer storms and bleeds)
Max Bleed Damage (all your damage is bleed, gems in aces, rings, amu, 1 "% more souls steal" gem is you want ot reach 85%+ chance)
Health (Rolls on most items + Gems in Armor)
Damage stagger (wherever possible, all the staggered damage is reduced by 90% with Blagars!)
Gem Effect
All Res

Skills:
Warlock till Ultimate
Fire till the "souls = damage" talent wasting some points to get there (getting max soultap with bonuses)
Frost till CDR talent picking up frozen veil on the way (taking teleport with all bonuses)

--> i can have 5 bonestorms up all the time (~2 second CD and > 11 Sec Uptime) and can perma teleport (animation is longer than the CD, souls are instantly refunded)

Setbonus adds 25% of around 100 million thorns
Bleed deals damage in the billions in mere seconds and stacks to no end (both bleed stacks + 30% bonus from set), 95% crit but only like 300% Crithitdamage (could be a lot more if you give up CDR on weapon / offhand, not worth it for me)
5 Bonestorms stack bleed and set debuff decently fast and to everything 6 meters around you, mana can get low if you dont kill fast enough but so far it worked out good enough for me - bonestorm is around 2k mana cost with Hearth of the forest)

The cooldown on soultap is less than a second - i can produce 15 souls in like 3-4 secondswithout kills, shield CD is below 3 second -> can get a 500k+ shield nonstop to buffer all spikes

Mastery Level only around 500
200k health, around 500-600k Soulshield
76% damage stagger, 90% stagger reduce, Res > 60 with max penalty, damage reduce >70%, >35% evasion after teleport (=always)

I only did M15 (no big deal) so far and guess i can push a lot more.
My gear is still not even augmented to the end, missing max stats base items and so on. I still see potential beyond need 1 or 2k more mastery levels.

Is there a good way to find set pieces or is it all random?

Legendaries? Gambling is usually quick enough. Buy 100 of a specific slot, sell all non-legendaries, repeat...

You can also transmute legendaries into other legendary, or into other set piece even.

But True Legendaries are random drops.

Go poison and only use the first area curse, curse of rot, build everything around infectiong and get the evasion and plaguebearer tree, go for the huge corruption curse and don't take the ultimate skill.

Now get the 3 pieces of the summoners garb, skill into fire and shadow just for the companion skills, and you have +50% to all damage for all companion skills equipped. In shadow just get overpower max and lifesteal, max life and masochism (any combination you like), until you can take skeletons. Shadow can be built out later.

So you use 3 slots for standard attack, curse of rot and corruption, and 3 slots for plagebearer, skeletons and imps.

Mastery wise, just get everything to strengthen your infection in the uppermost corruptor mastery, and take the final mastery that gives more poison damage from other class masteries. Also get the one where you get +5% damage for every active zombie or plaguebearer and max the plaguebearer tree.

If you can manage, get the book and staff from plaguemage to allow indefinite stacking of infection.

By the mid of Act 2 you'll deal so much damage that you can pop tri-crowns in 2 hits.

Not sure if it holds up lategame, but right now I played through 50% of act 1 and all of act 2 on legendary and it's boring, because I have to allow myself to be hit by super dangerous atks to even get low HP.

The only thing you should consider are boots that allow you to ignore movement hindering effects/grabs/stuns, but that's a given for warlock, imo.

do you mind sharing your masteries? TIA
