'Ni' is a Treant monster who is literally hiding inside a tree. Keep a close eye on your minimap for a red question mark in the middle of the map, that is the easiest way to find him (that I found). When you find him you will be able hover your mouse over and click the tree then he appears. At this moment I've forgotten which map he is on so I will get back to you on that

I found him on the left side of northern advance. No guarantees he will be there though. Your game and maps will have most likely generated differently. Good luck finding him if he isn't there. Just remember to keep scanning your map for red questions marks (most are shrines and hollow trees btw)

I've cleared and looked over the whole Northern Advance map twice, with no luck. Either he/she isn't a guaranteed spawn, or there's a bug preventing the spawn.

It's an odd looking bush with some sticks coming out of it. You have to keep an eye for that or destroy every bush in the area. It used to spawn sometimes behind trees, but was recently fixed.

Weird that I didn't see it the first 2 times, I'm usually pretty good at noticing those things. Thanks for getting me to look a 3rd time, which is all I needed. :)

For those looking for this.

It no longer shows on the minimap as suggested above (unless I have an option turned off). What you are looking for is a bush with some sticks poking out the top, like the ones that can be destroyed through the Northern Advancement - you're not looking for a tree. It does have a subtle animation when the stick flips from left to right.

How rare is he? I full-cleared 4 times the Northern Advance, shot every bush, but no luck so far.

Edit: Got him 5th time. :)
