Desperate for good hack and slash games.
Currently own most of them. Diablo , PoE , Grim Dawn , Van Helsing , Vran , etc. Been looking all over for some other games like them that I may have missed. Just found this one through my search.

Is it as good as people say. Will it scratch my itch when it comes to hack and slash looters basically ?

I was really happy with it, in the future it could be an awesome game. As it is now its.... well its still an awesome game, just not a lot too it yet. Build diversity isn't the hottest atm, it is known and being actively worked on, and there arent a whole lot of items in the game yet. I got a full 24 hours in before I lost steam though so pretty good for the price it's asking with the possibility of it getting even better.

it takes a lot from D3 as a "casual" hack and slay, the major cons are that the first playtrough and getting the character to lvl 100 is pretty meh, for example dont full clear all areas they are quite big and map segmnents repeat a lot, the end game and farming gear is also pretty straight forward and in comparison with all the other listed games it lacks content. The pros are that its just casual and it feels good to get new uniqe items and progress (there are 3 unique item tiers instead of just one + 3 standard item tiers) and it still gets frequent updates, just recently a socket system and gems were introduced.

I am a big fan of those Hack n' Slash games myself and like you, I played most of them.
You should try this game, it's fantastic, but a bit casual (which isn't a bad thing).
It's very fun with the "endless" leveling. The soundtrack is great, too.
And hell yeah, there is so much loot and ways to get your gear to perfection.
Not all acts are present right now, but that's not a big deal. You could farm areas of the main game (you can reset them without logging out, just by using the right mouse button at the main towns wayportals) or try to rank up yourself in the anomalies with its steady greater challenges.
The developer is deep intouch with the community and chances are huge, that if you have an idea, he'll try to add it to the game as soon as he's able to.
Many QOL changes were tips, that some players suggested.

I can recommend Din's Curse, too. It really stands out of the crowd besides its old age.
You could try the demo here on steam and it's very cheap at the sale right now.
If you want something, that's not so "casual" (I hate this word ^^)

Ty all for the info and suggestions and responses. I took the plunge and purchased the game. Also purchased Book of Demons which looks really good as well and has very positive ratings as well. And was lucky and had enough to purchase Transistor as well!

Cheers!
