No coming of age for Akechi Mitsuhide?

When playing the viper of mino akechi just shows up randomly. You get no coming of age or anything. I tried playing an officer and he dose not even show up at all.


Edit: in fact if you dont start as Saitō Dōsan he never even shows up.

Officers that normally join via events dont have a coming of age, Akechi is one of those officers, if he dont join Oda via the event to the capital and he not in Saito, then he, his son and Yoshiaki will usually appear as free officers at Nijo palace in the mid 1560's cant rmb exactly when offhand but that is usually when i get them to show after ive taken Nijo.

its wired tho, IF you play as any other clan or officer besides saito dosan mitsuhide will never show up in the viper of mino, however if you play as saito dosan he shows up normally. I even went and tested this in sphere of influence and the same thing happens he shows up if you play the saito but dose not show up if you play any other clan.

I am currently playing as the Ashikaga main branch and can confirm what Salatrin said Mitsuhide and his relative Hidemitsu are Ronin in the scenarios that take place between 1551-1562 if the event where Yoshiaki requests help from the Oda doesn’t play they can be found in Nijo, Yoshiaki himself shows up at the age of 20 as Ronin in Nijo to, funny thing is this still happens as the Ashikaga and will probably apply for both father and brother.
