pay to play = subscription model, which this does not have.
This is buy to play.
This is no different than Guild Wars 2 where you pay once to get the game, then if you so choose you can pay a little extra for cosmetics and other things.
And this whole "broken promises" thing is such a tired argument. This ♥♥♥♥ happens every time: devs explain what they want to do and throughout development things get delayed or scrapped for a variety of reasons. Balance issues will exist in every online game in existence and if you try to say otherwise you're full of ♥♥♥♥, and the in-game store is so unintrusive and optional that it might as well not exist unless you actually want a cosmetic item from the store.
The devs have been more transparent about development than I have ever seen in a game going through early access and if people had bothered to actually watch the development livestreams they've been doing once per week for the past 80 weeks straight, half the rage that exists right now wouldn't be here because all of the current problems and the promises made that arent here yet were explained weeks if not months ago.
says who?
And also Guild Wars 2 has buy to play expansions, where here it was stated that ALL the new content will be free.
I agree with you
Game is broken A.F.
Melee is insane, and feels like teleporting 100 meters before strike, comparing to "Space Marine" game this is pitty sht
Horrid Graphic render, mostly washed out textures even at max
It was peomiced as MMO and delivered as lobby game if Relic and THQ would fix "Space Marine" internet connection then Eternal Crusade would be a joke
Spawn Kills
Advancements look like pre aplha thing
Space Marine armor pieces look like crap
and this can go infinitely
There is so many things wrong with this game since alpha. Developers got lazy as ♥♥♥♥ they rushed the content as much as they could to meet the dead line and they released a half baked product.
No option to disable bloom effect.
No FoV option.
Badly optimized with outdated graphics.
Clunky camera positioning and control.
Terrible melee mechanics with auto aim mode.
Balance is terrible a 10 years old could balance stuff better then that right now.
Netcode is horrible, player models warping all over the place even with a low ping.
Hit detection dont get me started on that.
And the list goes on and on.
I hope they pay you good to defend this game on every thread i see.
"anybody who likes something I don't is being paid to like it"
I stopped reading after that.
In case you lived in a cave for the late couple of years, most games go ever for f2p with buying items store or b2p with everything available for free by unlocking while mere playing the game.
But a barely optimized alpha state indie game sold at a price of a fully finished AAA games in addition to a buying items store, I never seen that before EC... I think Evolve tried it, though it was an AAA game, and we all know how it ended, don't we ?
Fully agreed.
Those devs are so bad I can still play their "game" after having been yet refunded, and even playing for free this is boring as ♥♥♥♥.
You get a poor man's Space Marine mixed with a poor man's Battlefield, advertised with blatant lies.
