Chapter 2 ~ Has Been Offically Dropped / Put On Permanent Haitus ~

As per Winged Cloud's Patreon page, Sakura Fantasy Chapter 1 (despite being one of their best entries) sold poorly. Sadly, as they are still a small business and cannot afford to take losses, Chapter 2 has been put on hold permanently. While abandoned, Winged Cloud did mention that they would consider alternatives much later. Obviously, if sales suddenly picked up for the VN, I am sure they would also reconsider.

~ As this was a repeated question, I thought creating a thread to highlight it in the forums was worthwhile. Feel free to discuss the dropping of the title here too. I know I am very disapointed to hear it. ~

I believe Sakura Fantasy was released at not the right time, the time ppl start getting tired of Sakura series and need a break, despite the fact how good this game is.

All previous comments mention everything already, I just noticed 1 thing, talking about Sakura Fantasy and Sakura series in general, I wonder why Sakura VN series never has achievements, they will boost the sale a bit for sure, since hunting them is fun sometimes.

Real shame, Sakura Fantasy was written much better compared to both previous and latter VN focused games. Guess I have nothing to look forward to from this company unless we hear about a Sakura Dungeon 2.

Well dang... Sakura Fantasy is actually decent, I didn't care for Space at all and the gameplay videos for Nova and Agent look just as mediocre. If they made Fantasy 2 I'd support them, but otherwise I'll finish Fantasy and just be done with the Winged Cloud games, honestly >_>

Likely, not in any way that will be helpful. I'm willing to bet that they are just going to keep releasing dumpster fires like Swim Club and the like just because they put absolutely minimal effort into it whereas the continuation to literally the only good game in the collective (read: Fantasy) will either never drop or will drop as a last dying gasp and be awful due to Winged Cloud's unwillingness to put in any effort.

Oh well. More money to give to competent developers that are putting out quality products.

Honestly I keep buying the sakura games in hopes of finding one as good as the sakura fantasy but there other games are just.... there other games are nowhere near as good so im just going to stop buying them until sakura fantasy 2 gets made, or if they make a game like it, which i doubt they will based on all the other games by them that i've played so far, it won't ever happen

I've stopped buying them since they aren't releasing Fantasy Chapter 2. Moved on to other VNs and will come back once they make a Chapter 2.
