[Bug Report] - Controller & Keyboard and Mouse Bug?
So I am not sure if i am doing something wrong but every time i want to do an action in AC Black Flag Resynced I have to either wait like 2-3 seconds for the game to allow me to do other things or I need to spam all my buttons and keys and then try to press the intended button or key and hope it registers.

What i mean is like for example in the intro it tells you to press left on the D-Pad or T to put up your hood. Well i couldn't do that until like 3 minutes after it told me that because I just literally couldn't the game just maybe didn't regognise the input?

This happens with other things as well like the first Stealth bit. I take down someone but need to F around for 2-3 minutes waiting for Edward to go into "Normal" mode so i can loot bodies and do other actions. It's actually really hard to describe and the best way I could try is that there is like a "Cinematic" function and a "Open World" function and everytime a action is preformed like finishing move or like a cutscene or even a leap of faith i need to wait for the game (2-3 min) to catch up and/or regognise i can actually do actions again because in the Cinematic mode it's just not playable.

If anyone else is having these issues please let me know as if it's just my system or something that would be better as at least that would be a quick fix but to test this "bug" during the intro when you are told you can enable and disable to assassins creed hood with T (on PC) or Left on the D-Pad try to press those buttons instantly and see if that works. Also try to parkour and assasinate people as i have found it happens during these times in the intro as well.

I just launched the game and if this is a game bug this is very very very poor testing. But for now i am hoping it's just my PC system but i am leaning towards the game is bugged as Ubisoft has no more good will nor competence (from prior titles)

Edit: playtime is 30 minutes to give you an idea on how much of this i have already experienced that it has made it unplayed able.

Edit2: Seem like this is a video showing very briefly what i had happen to me quiet a lot. as such this doesn't seem to be a just me case. (Video is timestamped at the same or similar experience i had)

Hey Phuizour

Thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed report.

What you're describing definitely doesn't sound like intended behaviour. Based on your explanation, it seems that after certain actions, such as assassinations, parkour sequences, leap of faith animations, finishers, or scripted moments, the game takes an unusually long time before accepting new inputs. This can make interactions like equipping the hood, looting bodies, or performing context-sensitive actions feel delayed or unresponsive.

To help us investigate further, could you let us know:

Are you using a controller, keyboard and mouse, or both at the same time?
If you're using a controller, which model are you using?
Does the issue persist if only one input device is connected?
Are you playing with any overlays or third-party software running in the background (Steam Overlay, Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.)?
Does the delay occur consistently, or only after specific animations or scripted sequences?

It would also be very helpful if you could share your PC specifications.

When you gather all this information, please create DxDiag and MsInfo [www.ubisoft.com] diagnostic reports.

When you’re ready, reach out through our support page[www.ubisoft.com] or join the conversation on the Ubisoft Discord[discord.com]. We’ll take it from here.

I have used both Controller and Keyboard and mouse (same issue)
Yes this issue is when one or both devices are connected
Only Steam overlay but never use it discord i disable as it's a common troubleshooting "issue"
Yes it occures all the time within that 33 min timeframe that i just gave up.

I have joined the discord but unable to do anything for 10 min. i have the reports for you.
Title: Same issue here - Soft-lock / Only walking after cutscenes (Ultrawide & AMD setup)

Body:
I am experiencing the exact same game-breaking bug as Phuizour described.

Right after specific scripted animations or cutscenes—such as the first parkour tutorial jump, looting bodies, or attempting a Leap of Faith—Edward gets stuck in "normal mode" where he can only walk. All action buttons (A/B, etc.) and sprinting are completely unresponsive.

In my environment, toggling Steam Input (Enabling/Disabling) temporarily restores control. However, as soon as the next cutscene or scripted sequence triggers, the inputs lock up again without fail.

I also encountered the known issue where the cutscene frame rate locks at 30 FPS when using Custom graphics settings. I managed to bypass the 30 FPS lock using a third-party mod (ASI Loader / FPS unlock patch), but even with the mod active, the input/walking lock after events still persists.

This strongly suggests that the game engine is failing to re-focus the input devices when transitioning from "Cinematic mode" back to "Open World gameplay mode". Ubisoft needs to prioritize fixing this script-handler bug as it makes the game completely unplayable.

My System Specs:

OS: Windows 11 Home 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i7-11700

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (VRAM 16GB)

RAM: 64GB

Monitor: 34" 21:9 Ultrawide (3440x1440 @ 144Hz)

Input Device: Controller only (No hybrid dual-input connected)

Background Software / Overlays: Steam Overlay, Custom FPS Unlock Mod
same here , but on xbox X .... I have to press the map button at least twice or it wont open or it happens during combat, not registering Y for take downs or assassinations...parrys too .. even in the menu, it's lagging, i have to press couple of buttons twice or more . controller is fine, works in other games including shadows
