This was bugging me too. Some settings in this new version are not comfortable or easy like in the original.

Go into settings and you'll see that the swivel gun is on a toggle. You press that key while in battle to toggle the swivel gun on, then put your cursor over the red marks and fire. Toggle that key again to return to normal firing mode.

Press and hold shift. Then fire, aim at the red circles for that and then left mouse button.

Btw... imagine my surprise when I found out they nerfed the elite swivel guns... in the original the elite guns would fire at all weak spots in rapid succession automatically if you held shift and the fire button... now the elite swivel guns do more damage, but you still have to fire at each spot individually.... bah!

Also,. the way you use swivel guns is literally unchanged from the original, so the setting for that is as comfortable or uncomfortable as back in 2013. It has always been shift on keyboards on PC. Dun't know about controllers.

True, another thing that didn't need to be fixed, but they changed it.

Back in the original, using swivel guns was almost a passive thought.

There are definitely mental adjustments that need to be made to get out of the old muscle memory and into the new.

As for keys I usually change key binds, and did it for swivels too for some reason, so I forgot that the default is shift and hold (thanks for the reminder). I also had mine on toggle and incorrectly thought that was the new default (apologies to OP), so I changed mine back to default.

I rebinded a bunch of settings so some how it ended up on F as a toggle. Kinda works really well for me
