Last time I checked, the "British" were the inhabitants of Britain (as it has been historically called) AKA Great Britain, or perhaps all of the British Isles. tried various resolutions and graphics settings, restarted computer multiple times, get the kilted scotsman screen, it waits a bit, then the title screen briefly flashes up before crashing back to steam
