Action Ignored: Bot Focused
I keep getting this whenever I try voice commands. I've changed my settings to allow me to always run macros, but it hasn't fixed anything yet. What does this error mean?

Thanks!

I'm using the free version. It means that you can't use voice commands outside of the fullscreen window. So if you're testing it on your voice bot window, it won't work. You have to leave the window, go to your desired program, and just use it there. That's how I got it working for spotify at least.

@prototato: Thanks for answering! You're correct, the commands are ignored if VoiceBot is the focused window. This is so you can test to see if your command is recognized, without having the command actually run. If you click anywhere outside of VoiceBot (another app, the desktop, etc) then try again, the command should run.

That's unfortunate since I was planning on using it as a general way to work around my laptop via voice commands. I'm not that high tec, but is there a way to just use it from the start menu? Or if I'm staring at my desktop and I wanna watch Netflix but don't want to go through the tedious trouble of physically opening it up, to just say "Netflix" and have the macro open Netflix?

Or can you only use it for games?

You can basically use it for anything opening programs, playing sounds, hitting 20 different keys in a matter of seconds, etc. The only thing so far that I wanted to try but haven't found ,way unless the program has a hotkey, is closing a program.

You can definitely do this. Even if VoiceBot is minimized, you can speak the commands and it will pick them up. If you find that it's switching profiles, you can set it to manual on the Settings > Options tab, and then manually switch your profile to the one with your general desktop work stuff.

Also, we're planning to add "global macros" in one of the next few versions that you'll be able to execute regardless of which profile is actually selected in VoiceBot :)

Global macros?! That sounds great I look forward to that.

I saw in a YouTube video last night (and I'm sure if you just had a huge increase in sales this morning, all the other people saw that video too) that someone was using a speech to text feature. The person was typing a fake letter and Microsoft Word would "type out" what he was saying. How do we access that feature? I found the Text to Speech feature, but that says whatever I typed in, which is the opposite of what I'm looking for.
So something that can run a Google Search of whatever I say. Right now I can open a new tab, visit search.google.com, but I still have to manually type in my search

Right now I'm using a Firefox profile that can check my email, Facebook, and other fun stuff. But is there a way I can run VoiceBot without any other programs open? Well maybe he just happened to have the speech recognition running in the background because that has speech to text functions natively and he may have used it in unison with voice bot to open and navigate programs.

Yeah, he must have been using the Windows dictation stuff as well, because VoiceBot doesn't have a straight speech-to-text dictation feature.

Dang it :( do you think one will be added in the future? Also, I'm not sure if I screwed up somewhere, but Voicebot will sometimes just stop listening for my voice. The only way to get it working again is to change profiles and change back. Is this deliberate?

Not sure to be honest, but if we do add dictation, we'll definitely let you know :)

Regarding VoiceBot not listening, we've fixed up an issue that could cause that. We've just posted 1.6, could you update and let me know if you still run into trouble?

The bug is still there. Is pause and stop the same thing?

Yep, pause and stop are the same. Is the log in the VoiceBot window showing that it's being paused?

It's not paused, I was just wondering if there was a difference. If it is paused, the log isn't showing it. Would you like a screenshot?

A debug log would be great actually. Could you set it to L1 logging on the Troubleshooting tab, and then the next time it stops working, send us the log? You can click the Help button in the settings, then "Support Request" to send them in.

Thanks!
