Also the last boss drops titanium bars sometimes and is easier and faster to farm it then to dig for titanium.
I have no more "worlds that tell you how many portals are on that world...
neither have I completed the Great Explorer achievement
Im still looking though as island #'s go.. I have yet to find the 9 or 29.. everything else seems be in order just no hints or pathways left at all
The portals are typically in the surface, on the surface but hidden in a trench or at the bottom of a dungeon. On the lunar stages they can be buried in a hidden cave though. I fortunately heard it and started digging the walls.
This is where I'm stuck

I looked everywhere and even started blowing holes in the dungeon just to find some secret passage, I found nothing.

It says there should be portals here but there aren't.
(see my profile for instance, the achievement for all islands is unlocked, same goes for a lot of other people.)
As you may or may not have noticed, you can actually hear the portals, the louder it gets, the closer you are to one. They randomly spawn so it's not uncommon that one's underground, even literally at the edge of a world.
No. This issue has been resolved. Do not use the map paths to determine if there is another portal. Look at the specific worlds info. At the top is says how many portals there are an how many you have unlocked. It is misleading, but some paths don't equate to out portals.
Vacant islands are flat, easy to build on, do not have enemies to bother you, and are safe if you ever regenerate your universe. Things you build on a vacant islands will not be reset if you regenerate your universe, even if they are not set as Home island.
