"Assimilating popular mods" The devs hadn't turned orespawn, an unbalanced and popular mod, into an addition of this game.
I can slightly agree with that, the combat system is sorta like LoZ with the circling, though utilizing the melee classes.
Not really on the creativerse part, that consists of grinding mobs and waiting, due to requires extractors to obtain ores from nodes, and smelting them.
I used to play minecraft awhile ago, but I probably will never go back to it considering Micro$oft bought out the rights to it for over $8 billion.
Portal Knights is a really good game. It was well thought out and for its initial release and it ran really well. Unfortunatly this last update there has been alot of problems that have arisen. Hopefully in the future, they will stick to using beta for patching before finalizing the update. Because right now some people are not able to play at all because of the sound issue that they been having and they have nothing to fall back on making the game pretty much unplayable until the issues have been resolved.
The first thing is true. it's what probably inspired terraria, which came out as an overwhelmingly popular game in the end.
If I should spot out the differences in this game:
The combat system is like the LoZ, it locks onto an enemy, also allowing you to dodge by tapping space.
The progress is like alot of sandbox games, you utilize stations to craft certain items to turn into materials, used to craft certain gear. But makes it so you have to travel to newer portals to find there materials in higher areas. It's much like the levels in plants VS zombies, but without the P2W content.
There is no sense of arguing about it because its been going on like that throughout history. Same thing with all other aspects of life from movies, music, household products to the cars you drive. Oh look! that car has four wheels too! copycats...
You are all tools.
Your post was indeed positive, but in a negative way.
Minecraft ripped off Infiniminer, so if anything, voxel based games are ripoff's of Infiniminer, NOT minecraft, Minecraft is a clone of Infiniminer.
Portal Knights Developers are doing something unique like Cubeworld (still being developed) did back in it's day.
Minecraft can't even hold a candle too this game. Minecraft would have died off years ago if it wasn't for the modders out there, and from what I have read over the last couple of weeks the developers are going to be adding quite a bit of content, and more character builds which will drag this game into the realm of any ARPG's on the market (Grim Dawn, Torchlight Series, and the Diablo Series), and will also bring in the great taste of Zelda which Minecraft could never do.
Minecraft is far overrated, and not that great of a game really.
Wowie, you expect us to not insult you after you sarcastically insult us by saying this game was a ripoff and we copyrighted a few things?
You must be new to the discussions with your new form of stupidity, head to the testing rooms so we can have you take a shot to cleanse you of your dead brain, OP!
Just to say WHY it isn't a positive post:
"I just wanted to say I think it's great that this game stole everything from minecraft and appears to have done a better job in the end as well.
Why is that great? Because those A-holes have made hundreds of millions of dollars on the hard work of their fans by assimilating popular mods into their software without compensating any of those people.
So I say steal their stuff forever. It looks like your reviews are really positive so that's even better! Keep up the good work."
"Stole everything from minecraft"
It's called inspiration, braindead.
"A-holes"
"Assimilating popular mods into their software"
You mean having more content than minecraft, albeit?
"So I say steal their stuff forever"
1. Minecraft has a short amount of content
2. Minecraft opened a new genre of games
3. The only similarities there are is mining and blocks, that's all I have.
TL;DR, OP is the new faggotron prime.
Its a big difference inbetween a ripoff and a genre. Trust me if it were a "ripoff" like you say microsoft is sue happy and would obliterate them. Also I have played ripoffs of minecraft some dont even bother to mess around.
This the graphics are different there is "decor" and the combat is more than left click fast run away left click fast there is targeting dodge and a variety of spells and other things. Fact is minecraft has failed in keeping up with a tiny update here and there focusing on small things that most people never notice. Its been a decade and they havent developed combat beyond left click run away left click run away.
It is obviously still Tarzan and thus would be a rip off.
