my character deleted?????

me and a friend wus playing the game and my game crashed i came back on my character deleted its self:''(

same here i just got on and i checked my character list and he was gone as well

Hi guys,
this should not happen of course.
There is a way to get back your character, don't worry. Please follow the steps below.
1. go to your Portal Knights Character savegame folder (C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\portal_knights\characters) -> the path may vary when using other languages.
2. Here you can see all of your character savefiles (0000000X.char) numbered like the slots you have created them ingame and in addition a backup file (0000000X.char_tmp) for every character.
3. Now for the deleted character: Delete the 0000000X.char file of that character
4. Rename the 0000000X.char_tmp file of that same character to 0000000X.char

Here you go, your character should be available again.

ive got into the folder and the only file there is 00000000.char and nothing else :(
