Is there a hoe for tilling dirt blocks?

I am currently on the first world and make use of the existing farm land. When I harvested the crops I destroyed some of the tilled dirt blocks. I replaced them but now there is grass growing on them. I can still plant my stuff but it just looks ugly. How do I get them to look like tilled blocks again?

just upgrade your workbench once and plow or hoe will be a craftable item.

Thank you - I KNEW I read somewhere something with upgrading things... got lost in the other options and didn't realise the upgrade button was hardly hidden... too much trees to see the forest if you get my meaning.

the dirt drill is also useful, especially on games with large sized islands.

I won't forget it. And if the finding of the portals is really such a hassle, the drill will definitely come in handy...
