Any tips to find hide&seek NPC?

I had grinded mostly of the surface of W2-04.....until dry out the water ponds....but didn't find the secret NPC yet.
Anybody found him, can you share some idea?

The two NPC on Witchwater (2-04) are Stanton the Geologist and Azak the Hermit. Azak is new, put in after the May update. When I found him (on Large Island) he was down between two separate island sections on the side of a cliff. He is by a small hut with a campfire. He just talks.

Thx for advice, I had not found Azak yet.

I found some room around side of the cliff, but not NPC :(
In your case, is it the same for Azak?

After find 2 hide&seek NPC in 1-05 and 1-06, without certain spawn pattern, I felt it was only luck is the factor....or give up...

I regenerated my 2 Lg and 1 Med universes with the 1.5.X update 30 Aug 18, so I did not have the original location of Azak. I went to my Med universe to look for him. Had to defeat the Knight Hunter. Then, I looked over the side and saw a light. Got close to the side and jumped down and it was Stanton (first time I have not seen him on surface. Then looked around and there was Azak on another cliff. Hopefully link below will show screenshot (I have not figured out how to post picture yet (if you can give info on how to, thanks).

I hope that my Azak stay on opened side of the cliff.
My 2-04 world generated badly, all important location, mini boss and NPC (Stanton and new NPC) are not in main land....and a lot of small land...

OK, I'm almost making another complement...and then I found Azak!

I had given up for looking around cliff, so I plan to make a new base and move spawn point to the lowest level of the island to grind whole island.

And then I heard NPC sound when make a path to another lowest peak of the planet....see his annoyance location

My problem is his location on my planet is in the lowest part of the main island with 10 block thickness.....It's just luck+time wasting to see him T_T

Great! I think I was lucky to have Stanton and Azak in the same eye shot. Dev's should make finding Azak, Lonely Lenny, and Crazy Gonzoalo a Portal Knight Achievement (there are 29 PKA at this time)
