Worth getting now? (Neutral reviews)
Hi guys, my young brother got interested at this game but I see there are some negative reviews in steam page like people assuming this gets very repetitive quickly, in your opinion is it true? My brother really like Terraria, does this game have lots of content like that? Does the developer are adding new content constantly or the game is done already?
Thanks in advance! :)

I haven't played it yet, but if you're considering buying it, you should check next month's Humble Monthly. It's $12 and includes this game.

I've played this game and Terraria hundreds of hours each. I think of this game as 3-D Terraria Lite.

It's a lot like Terraria, but honestly Terraria is more involved, so it depends why your brother likes Terraria. I've spent most of my time in this game building and gathering materials, which I spent a lot of time doing in Terraria too. If he likes Terraria mainly because of the fighting though, he probably won't like this one nearly as much. I think a lot of the people who have been writing bad reviews are writing them because they want a fighting game more than a building game. I personally like both and don't need one game to do it all.

This game is casual. You aren't under constant threat. There are no blood moons. The bosses aren't something you need to do a lot of planning ahead for. It's perfect for looking around, building, filling chests with stuff (to build with).

Like Terraria, Portal Knights has seasonal events and random events, has different biomes, and as far as I know they have plans to add more in the future. Right now they are just working on getting the new updates out to all platforms (this game is on almost every platform).

I recommend the game, but building is the reason.

Thanks for the help :) I've just bought the game.
Btw, can't the 2nd player use a created char? Does he always need to create a temporary toon instead of using a same character pool?

I'm a single player. I thought all players had to have their own copy of the game to play together, so that shows what I know.

Aside from that, hope you enjoy the game (once you figure out the finer details).
