Can you play this offline?

I read that the game requires constant internet connection like what the hell, if that is the case then im not buying this,

I just cut off my net for a minute to check, single player works fine offline.

Portal Knights does not require internet connection unless you are playing with somebody or want this wierd mailbox event reward that the devs occasionally put up.

Thank you guys, I was looking for this game to play it in split-screen multiplayer so I guess I will have no problems.

The Multiplayer is not in split-screen (not on PC at least). Just be warned, enemies/bosses will be super easy to beat in multiplayer. Glad to be of assistance!

It does actually have split-screen multiplayer. I've never personally tried it, but it's there.

I've only played multiplayer via LAN, and that didn't use split-screen, but maybe things have changed since then, as that is some time ago :)

It never had split-screen when I've played it with my bro. Still that other person made a comment about having played with (or seen) it. Maybe it is possible to toggle it then?

Got to be toggleable then, as I've never seen it and nearly all my play time in PK is in multiplayer (LAN)

It has both. If you coop it does if you play it on two pcs it does not.

Haha I believe you guys but the answer in this thread got a little bit confusing, I saw a few videos and the game includes split-screen, not sure if it was PC or PS4. Right now im broke lol, so probably im buying it this christmas, thank you all for the answers.
